We have looked at PPL in our search.  They are about 1100 miles away, so that pretty much leaves us in the same spot.  The only benefit is we have some friends and family nearby, but none that I would feel comfortable asking to inspect a unit for us.  I did see that they just took in a Holiday...

Thanks for all the responses and advice so far, and especially for the reality check!  I'm not a fan of the larger chain dealerships that use high pressure car-dealer type tactics and 'monkey math'...  I've experienced before that pictures don't show many of the things that you all mentioned...
