    Refrigerator

Camping Preference variables for all kinds of folks. Many people don't like running genny's any more than they have to. To run strictly on electric with minimum genny use, you have to have a pretty good battery bank and some solar. Many Boondockers have a setup like this. Others run with a...

INTERIOR RV RENOVATIONS: How difficult is it?

YouTube is your friend. There are videos on just about everything in replacing/updating RV's. The main difference between stick and brinks building/remodeling and RV remodeling is the framing is often smaller i.e. using 1"x1" or 1"x2" vs. 2"x4"'s. It's a weight consideration. That and they...

    Backup/Observation Camera Systems

Are you sure it was powered from the battery (On all the time) and not from the trailer lights? That would be different than standard on most campers. Most you have to have the truck plugged into the camper and the lights on to power the pre-wired camera mount wiring.

    Backup/Observation Camera Systems

I just installed a Haloview 7108 wireless on my 2019 FR Wolfpack 23Pack15. It was wired for a furrion. Basically had a mounting bracket with a cover plate on it. when I opened it up, it had 12v pos and neg wires attached to a plug with the center pin hot and the sides neutral. Luckily for me...

    Affordable bluetooth back-up cameras

If you're talking about wireless (Not BT), this is what I just purchased. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07GKXPKRS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It's about half the price of the furrion and has solid reviews and has good range. It also can run up to 4 cameras if you...

Wish someone made a directory of really nice campgrounds nationwide

X2 I use it in combination with a campground site map online to identify what campsites I want to consider. If there is a tree on my slide out or awning areas of my camper, how much space between the site I'm looking at and the ones behind and to the sides of it, are there some trees separating...

Dump Black Tank at end of Camp Session or wait till 3/4 full

X2 I have the mrs stand by the tank monitor and let me know when it's 3/4 full while I hold the foot flush pedal and run water in the shower. Once their 3/4 full, I stop and go dump. after dumping, I put a few gallons back in each and add a tablet to the black tank.

Where do you dump if you are not at a camp ground?

Most campgrounds have what is called a "DUMP STATION". Usually located on a side road off the main artery road to the loops, often near the guard shack where you check in and out. Here is a website to help if you find yourself somewhere that doesn't have a dump station. https://rvdumpsites.net/#

    Basic Heater Question on RV

One last tip, crack a window so you don't get condensation. Running the heater all night with windows closed and people breathing will have you waking to moisture in the RV. If no one is breathing, you can leave the window closed. A little humor there. Darn little ;-)

Where can I get this shower washcloth rack

Have you checked into getting it 3d printed? Might be able to have it scanned and then 3d Printed for a semi-reasonable cost with the costs of the printers coming down thee days. Some folks have bought them and advertize to do custom work like cell phone covers, etc. Might try Craigs List or...

    Oh No...

X2 I leave about 5 gallons in both black and gray tanks after flushing. Seems to help anything from sticking in either. Food particles (and soap from the shower) that get past our scraping of pots and pans and get in the gray tank and then dry out can be as much a smell problem when they start...

    Post a joke

Fred and Ethel, an elderly couple were walking through the county fair and Fred see's a sign for helicopter rides. Well he grabs Ethel's hand and nearly drags her over to the sign and says "Ethel, I'm 74 years old and I don't know how many more years I have on this earth but I've always wanted...

    Generators and Fuel

Destiny, I'm going to agree with most of what Don said. I'm assuming you have a camper that is using a 30 AMP plug and electric panel. If you are budget limited your first step should be to get the Genny and then second step, upgrade (if needed) your battery bank. Here is a good link to the...

Minimum used mileage to get the bugs out?

Here are my thoughts. Most RV's come with a one year warranty. If they were used during that year and there were issues, the owners likely took them in and had them fixed under warranty rather than ignore them and then either accept something didn't work or have to pay for it themselves. So...

    Generator

People that do a lot of boondocking do it by mixing solutions to the problem of spending extended time not hooked to electricity. Depending on the size of your batteries (Range from group 24 on the lower end of Amp Hour ratings TO group 30 or even golf cart batteries and Lithium batteries if...
