Living in an RV full time

Yeah I agree, 1970's-1980's RVs are just way too ancient, you'll need to be a skilled handyman for that sort of thing, ...because you'll need it, and not just with the cosmetic stuff either. Anything with an engine is going to be a maintenance money pit in it's own rite.

When a full-timer is being hassled in the neighborhood

Much of the PC mindset seems to [erroniously] think that it's all the fault of society, and that they would have us elevate victimization to a point of total un-reality when in fact most people are 100% responible for their own actions & predicaments. There's nothing wrong with the fulltiming...

    Advice for new fulltimers

MAIL 99% of all [decent] RV parks will have some sort of mail system, campgrownds... not so much. You should have no trouble with Amazon or other internet related purchases, or mail forwarding. I do this often. TRIP PLANNING Forget about paper maps and get with the 21st century, a decent GPS...

When a full-timer is being hassled in the neighborhood

...And poverty in this country is largely a choice in comparison to many other places around the world. The government does an excellent job for the most part in creating and enabling income inequality via the welfare state. There are also an awful lot of people who just don't want to work or...

    Looking to be a fulltimer

"trailer parks" are what you largely need to stay away from. Campgrounds typically don't like to see or accommodate full timers of >3-6 month duration. We'll be able help more when you come up with a rough budget and an RV type that is of interest to you.

    Tool/Emergency Kit

Screwdrivers and sockets, specifically those that will fit with most anything you'll need in the trailer and toe vehicle. You should also be able to accommodate your hitch should it need adjusting. (rare) Definite must haves: duct tape, electrical tape, & the above. You're gonna find that...

    15" vs 14" tires

NO Your spare will also need to be 14 inches.

On board laundry, No or Heck No

I just hated the idea of not having my own W&D before fulltiming. But since I don't have the capacity I've learned to live with it, ...like having to do dishes too.

Give me the good and bad of Cruiser RV TTs...

I'm a satisfied owner a 25.5 foot Shadow Cruiser RBS, but any and ALL TTs potentially have their own little issues. The kitchen is the best I've seen in such a small TT, although I don't care too much for the bunk house models. ...I just whish they made 5th wheels. On the downside, dealerships...

    Full time RV

I live full time in a 25.5 foot travel trailer and move approx. every 3-6 months with my job. The experience overall is mostly good, although I'm wishing I bought a smallish 25 foot 5th wheel instead, mostly for headroom and better storage. But one can easily make due with what one has. So far...

What items to purchase for new travel trailer

Check your local Walmart, they'll have some tidbits to get you started. The prices aren't bad either. I usually get stuff off Amazon or eBay when I have plenty of time and don't need it right a way. Camping World is also not too bad, but it can be expensive. It helps to have a Good Sam's card...

When a full-timer is being hassled in the neighborhood

You'd do well to call the police and have these transients shooed away, many of them will empty their tanks in the gutters and then move on. They've got no business whatsoever parking in anyone's neighborhood. There are RV parks for that sort of thing.

Cut Stay Short - Neighbours from HELL! (Long rant, sorry!)

The lousy neighbors... For me it's kids that are the worst, always running around screaming their faces off. Fortunately for me I work nights and the AC blocks most of that when I'm sleeping during the day. What you really need is to do is avoid "campgrounds" where your typical less than part...

Seeking route up and down west coast based on weather

Crescent City California is a nice summertime retreat. Although just a small town, they do have several RV parks on or very near the water that are VERY reasonable priced. I have a friend working up there right now who tells me the daytime temps are in the 70s and the parks are pretty clean and...

    5th wheel pulling trailer

You shouldn't need to buy or add anything to get a smoother ride... Pulling a boat or motorcycle behind a 5th wheel is actually not uncommon, but you HAVE to slow down and drive like a person who is pulling a 5th wheel with a boat or motorcycle trailer. There is nothing worse than an idiot...
