    Thor - Windsport TV Changeout

Ernie, You figured it out.  The camper is full of these decorative buttons.  Under each button is a snap and a square head screw.  The entire wood bottom under the TV came off once I removed all of the screws.

    Thor - Windsport TV Changeout

No, it is all wood trim and carpet, no screws or fasteners that I could find.  I am sure it can be accessed from the side cabinets but I don't want to destroy the cabinets just to make access. "CX"

    Thor - Windsport TV Changeout

I have a Thor-Windsport.  It has the original built in antique non-cable ready TV.  I want to remove it and put in a modern flat screen. How do I remove the old TV short of using a SAWZALL on my woodwork? Thanks much, "CX"

DO NOT TAKE THIS ROAD "Fill in the blank"

I resemble that remark.  Yes our roads are bad.  I live near I-12 and it has been under construction since the 80s. "CX"

How much Battery do I need?

Now you have me wondering...  My coach says it has a 50 amp 220 VAC service.  The shore power I set up at home is 50 amp 220 VAC and everything is fine.  Are you saying that Standard 50 amp plugs are just 110 VAC like the 30 amp plugs? I am an electrician and I have worked on every thing from...

Recc For a Little Tire Inflator That Works

I got a Fini Air Boss at local big box store.  $117.  It runs on 110 AC only, it comes with regular hose and an inflation hose.  My MH has an outside outlet near the back tires on each side of the rig so no worries with the hose reaching the tires.  The pressure runs up to 135 very quickly and...

    Cataract surgery

I am very nearsighted and I have worn glasses since I was 5 years old.  In my late 50s I was diagnosed with cataracts.  In 2014 I had a detached retina and needed a repair.  Not fun.  The cataracts were repaired with new lens later in the year.  I had bad astigmatism along with bad nearsighted...

Oxygen Concentrator Use On The Road

My wife has been using a concentrator at night and has spare bottles.  The only failures we had involve broken parts of the machine, the plastic parts and hoses.  They gave us plenty of spare hoses and water bottles.  The one part that has failed twice already is the plastic fitting between the...

Oxygen Concentrator Use On The Road

We found an ActivOX for around $2700. It is tiny and the most portable unit we found. At the highest setting the battery will last 4 hours and it recharges from 12VDC or 110VAC.  Because my insurance is paying for bottles and a concentrator they won't pay for the portable unit. Your results may...

Oxygen Concentrator Use On The Road

My plan is to carry all of our equipment.  Because of the design of our MH it has space under the bathroom sink for the 110 VAC concentrator.  I plan to build a corral for it there.  My wife has to use a trilogy machine for therapy and sleeping is can easily take up all the space of a typical TV...

I had good luck with Carolina Carports, they built my 20x20 shop in about 6 hours. "CX"

Buying a used Class A from Camping World 900 miles away

My wife and I bought ours in Key Largo and we are based in Louisiana.  The only surprise I found was damage to the rear bumper and owner resolved it by automatically adjusting the price without a haggle.  We also had to evacuate for hurricane Irma. Another friend bought a VW Convertible in...

Oxygen Concentrator Use On The Road

Some good questions Bill.  My wife is in a similar situation, our first trial run we brought along two Oxygen bottles for back up. She also has an "ActiveOx" pulse concentrator that runs on a built in battery.  It is rechargeable by 110V AC or 12V DC.  We also brought the home concentrator that...

    DIY Car Protection

I have a Master Tow dolly that I purchased with the RV (both used).  During our evacuation from Florida (Hurricane Irma) the from of our poor car with filthy and actually showed signs of damage from rocks and such. Since I am a do it yourself type of person I built a rock guard for the tow...

    Fingers cracking in cold weather

All good advice! I found out long ago that I can put on enough clothes to stay warm, but I can't take enough off to get cool.  I worked in Chemical Plants for 20 years until I got my present desk job.  Best way to keep your feet warm is to wear a good warm hat, the rest will take care of...
