    Hello from The Emerald Coast

Hello, this is actually a re-introduction.  We sold our Evergreen travel trailer a year ago thinking we wanted a sailboat.  Well, the RV bug has bitten again.  We just took delivery on a new Jayco Redhawk 29XK and love it.  We look forward to chatting with you all and perhaps seeing you in the...

    Question on W/D bars

Kenneth is right on the dry weight.  The brochure lists it as 3680# dry.  The sticker in my trailer does list the weight as 4020# I'm guessing that the 340# difference is the weight of all the options.  As for the tongue weight, until I get it to a scale, I will have to operate on the assumption...

    Question on W/D bars

Good morning, all Based on all of your recommendations, I have changed the order to the Reese 60082 Strait-Line hitch kit.  This one has the 600# bars, instead of 800# bars.  The Strait-Line kit comes with the W/D trunion bar hitch with the 600 lb bars, the dual cam sway control and the hitch...

    Question on W/D bars

    Towing with my 06 Silverado

Thanks for all the info.  I got a trailer.  Sunny Brook Harmony 20 FBS.  20', so it's relativly small.  That's ok, there's just 2 of us.  Queen bed, nice bathroom and only 5500 lbs gross.  Dry is supposidly on the order of 4000.  Tows behind the truck like a dream. Thanks, again, folks. Charlie

    Towing with my 06 Silverado

Hello all, I have a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 LT 4x4 Extended Cab, 78?bed, 4.8 liter gasoline engine, automatic trans, rear axle GU6 (3.42:1)  I realize that this combo is less than ideal for a large heavy trailer. According to the owners? manual, the GCWR  is 12,000lbs and max trailer...

Hello, from the Shenandoah Valley, VA

Thanks, Becky.  I'll have to get down there and check his lot out.  That's about 3 hours south of me.  I'm up closer to Winchester.  All in all, though, not too far in the scheme of things.  I have to drive to Savannah GA later this week, I may detour to Bedford on the way back.  Thanks for the...

Hello, from the Shenandoah Valley, VA

Hello all, the wife and I are scouting for a beginning travel trailer.  Haven't made the leap yet.  Unfortunately, nothing much really close in to me to look at.  Minimum 45 minutes and up, in differing directions. It might take a while.  I am highly motivated though.  Just wanted to say hi, and...
