2019 Quartzsite Rally - Reply Topic

We, Hugh & Denise, are in Brenda, AZ for the winter. We plan to pack up the trailer and come down to the Rally for a few days. Plan to arrive Jan 24 and stay through the weekend. Will anyone there have blank name tags? I hear they are needed (and appreciated) but we currently have none...

    Park in Yuma ?

Tom: Thanks for the reply. I have searched this site and found some useful information. I was hoping for some more specific information to the desires I stated. I also did a Google search and found 59 parks in/around Yuma. A lot to research and too many to go visit in person. Just trying to...

    Park in Yuma ?

We stayed last winter at Desert Gold in Brenda, AZ. We also have reservations there for this winter. It's some 15 miles east of Quartzsite. Very nice park, pool and hot tub, paved roads, activities, and inexpensive. We have a small 19' trailer and pickup. We also set up a 12'x12' sun canopy with...

Question about South Dakota driver's license

I second this. If not illegal it is not right or moral. If you want to take advantage of being a resident (domicile) of South Dakota you should move. That means drivers license, vehicle registration, insurance, banking, etc. I'd love to pay the zero income tax in South Dakota (our new state)...

    Domicile/Tax Question

We've made great progress in moving towards Fulltiming. We sold our house June 18 and are now if South Dakota setting up domicile. We have drivers licenses so are now SD residents. Currently working on vehicle registration, wills/etc., social security and vehicle insurance. Changing finances...

    Rapid City SD - Lawyers

Not sure where to put this inquiry. I figured more fulltimers will have run into this so I posted here. Does anyone have a recommendation for a lawyer in Rapid City, SD? Or alternately, any lawyers to stay away from. We need some simple documents put together. We think we need wills, advanced...

    Boondocking in a TT

I poked around for a few minutes but couldn't find another app called "US Public Land". I keep finding Technomadia's (Two Steps Beyond) app. Can you point me to it? Thanks. Poking around I found a blurb around Gaia GPS having a public lands overlay. This looks pretty good also, but I haven't...

    Boondocking in a TT

I've used BackCountry Navigator Pro which I think is similar to US Topo Maps. I think it was BackCountry Nav, we just today updated out cell service and phones and I seem to have lost it. I used it for hiking in Escalante. It worked well for hiking. I was able to download (to use offline) the...

    Boondocking in a TT

This is the one I mentioned above. I haven't tried it and would like to hear your feedback once you take a look. It was developed for RV boondocking so should be tilted in the right direction. Thanks. Hugh

    Boondocking in a TT

I'd be interested in the "available elsewhere" options. Have you heard of better solutions anywhere? Maybe some apps for hunting? I'll be lazy and ask rather than firing up Google and checking myself. :-) I certainly liked the concept though. Thanks. Hugh

    Boondocking in a TT

Technomadia has an app that shows public lands. Also has GPS ability so you know where you are relative to public lands. Should be very useful for boondocking. I haven't tried it yet but will be soon. http://www.twostepsbeyond.com/apps/uspubliclands/ Thanks. Hugh

Travel trailers, 5th wheels, no slides

You have at least one answer in your original message. The Escape 19 has a queen bed in the back and a four person dinette up front. Very nice layout. No slides. Fiberglass, few chances for leaks. Yes, we have one and love it. Hugh
