    1988 Travelcraft

To me it's all about how the owner took care of it. The person who had the unit your looking at seemed to care about the condition of it. I'm not familiar with that product line but I am with Ecnolines and I am very happy with mine. In general though the fiberglass body is a big plus especially...

Bubble Top Van vs Roadtrek Style Gas Mileage

I believe mine may be a little older then the vans pictured. Gas mileage depends on the weight, engine size, fuel delivery (carb or injected), speed and terrain your driving in. I have a 1991 Ford Econoline Class B Turtle Top, extended van, one ton, 5.8 liter V8, port injected, 7000 Lbs empty. I...

    Hatfield and McCoy campgrounds

Thanks for the heads up. I drive a class B but my trailer is pretty wide. That happens a lot on the narrow dirt roads in my neck of the woods. I usually pull over as far as I can slowing down to a crawl, but even at that I had my windshield broke as rocks flew off a passing truck.

    Hatfield and McCoy campgrounds

My wife and I are heading up north (PA) to visit family this summer and would like to stop at Hatfield and McCoy's ATV trail system in West Virginia. Looking at the web site gave me a lot of information but you can't beat word of mouth from people that were there. Some of the things I was hoping...

1990 E250 (Intervec Falcon) class-B difficult to drive straight

I'll try to answer the best I can. As far as prices go, if your in doubt get a second opinion. Do not tell them about the first shop that checked out your van and see if they come up with the same diagnoses. If you don't have experience with steering box's it may be best to steer clear of...

1990 E250 (Intervec Falcon) class-B difficult to drive straight

I went through the same thing with my 1991 E350 turtle top. I had a heck of a time keeping it in my lane at highway speeds. My problem was with the back not the front. Although it looked normal to me, these older vans have a tendency to sag in the back. Sagging in the back picks up in the front...

Battery charging with different type/size batteries

Thanks? for the replies. There is too much information about charging batteries and it can get confusing, what was said here makes sense. I am going to stick with the isolator and I have decided to upgrade my converter/charger to a later model unit. The newer chargers have come a long way and...

Battery charging with different type/size batteries

I am restoring a 1991 Ford E350 with a Turtle Top conversion. Because of room limitations and different needs for the batteries they are different sizes and types. Deep cycle and starting. I switched the original mounting locations under the hood so I could fit a bigger deep cycle house battery...
