    Choosing the right truck

I believe any of the big 3 DRW's would be the choice to make, preferably the diesel version for the weight they are looking at. I was able to find a new 2015 F350 last year at a good price. Not a fully loaded truck, but had the basics the wife and I wanted in the vehicle. I had been pulling a...

    Kitchen-Living Layout Preferences; New Buyer

I would tend to go with the 286QBS, but of more importance would be what will you be using for a tow vehicle since it sounds like you will be having 6 people traveling at times.

Looking to buy first trailer - How much to haggle?

I have purchased 2 trailers and have been able to get roughly 27% off the sticker on both. I believe anybody you talk to will say 20% to 30% is the average you will see most of the time.

    Extended Warranties?

I had one on our first trailer and the only issues I had with the trailer the insurance did not cover. I will never buy an extended plan again. Put the cost of that plan into a savings account and add a little to it every month. If you do go with the extended plan read all the fine print as to...

Full time plan is now half completed

Wife and I just ordered a new Solitude 379FL last week, this is 1/4 of our plan to be full timing in 2018 when i can retire. Earlier this year we bought a new tow vehicle(F350 DRW diesel which was 1st quarter of the plan) and have used it to travel to South Dakota and back to Maryland via New...

New F350.......first trip........big grin on my face

Actual payload is just under 6000 lbs, GVWR is 14000 lbs and max trailer is 24000 lbs. We will be looking at a Silverback 5th that has a GVWR of @16000 lbs.

New F350.......first trip........big grin on my face

I must say I am so impressed with my new truck. Been using cruise control almost 90% of the time which I couldn't do with my old truck. Although the Tundra did an admirable job and I never had any issues while towing my trailer, I could very rarely use cruise control. Have traveled from Maryland...

New diesel owner - looking or help from the experts

We just recently purchased a 2015 F350 DRW 6.7L Powerstroke in preparation for a 5th wheel next year. Going to be traveling from Maryland to South Dakota in a couple of weeks for a 3 week vacation and was wondering what spare parts for the truck I may want to bring along. This is my first diesel...

Could have been serious - manufacturers are no help

Thanks for all the input. I do plan on  having all the nuts and bolts in the suspension replaced. I do plan to add those items to my check list from now on when I am getting ready to hit the road. I guess I must be living in the past when companies would actually stand behind their products...

Could have been serious - manufacturers are no help

After returning from our last camping trip of the year I parked our trailer in the drive way to winterize. Got out of mu truck and noticed it was sitting at a strange angle. Chocked the tires and disconnected from my truck. Finally after looking around to see why the trailer was no where near...
