    The passing of Ned Reiter

I am saddened by this news and will miss Ned's wit and knowledge here.  Prayers for his family.

    Class A or Trailer

Just for the record, $30k would get you a nice NEW TT.  But I think $20k would get a really nice gently used one and I would put more in the truck since it is the piece that gets the most maintenance and can be the most problematic.

    Carport Advice

This is what we did last year.  Pad is 22x36 and shelter is 18x35.  $5500 complete.

    1996 NATIONAL TROPI-CAL

If you're asking about the VIN bar code, it should be on top of the dashboard on the drivers side corner right at the base of the windshield.

Affordable Travel Trailer Security Measures + Remote Temperature Monitoring

At home, we have a "Piper".  It has an alarm, camera, notifies via text and/or call, and monitors temp.  $199 from Amazon.  Needs an Internet connection through a wifi router though.

Buying an RV out of state- trouble with title/reg, travel permit

Does CO not have 30 day temp tags?  Here in KY you can go to DMV (clerks office) and get a temp license that's good for 30 days.  Dealers use them for new cars too.

    GPS

This is the one we use.  Downloaded the US map set, we can add others. Does not need a data connection while in use.  CoPilot Premium USA - GPS Navigation, Traffic & Offline Maps by ALK Technologies Ltd. https://appsto.re/us/QWWsA.i

    GPS

We went with CoPilot for our iPhones and iPad.  Has settings for RV with height, weight, and tunnel restrictions as well as to prioritize different highway/interstate/side road preferences.  Absolutely the best $10 we ever spent!  Highly recommended!

    5TH Wheels and Toll Booths

You can stop at one of the rest areas and get a "SunPass" device so you can just drive through the SunPass lanes and the tolls will be charged to your card.  A number of the exits are "SunPass Only" and have no way to use cash.  Keep in mind that I-95 runs parallel to the tollway a few miles to...

    RV Financing / Insurance

When we bought our TT new, the dealer put us out there and we were "picked up" by the lender at 1.9% on a 12 year term.  This loan is essentially a mortgage type loan, not a simple interest arrangement like a car loan which means we save a lot of interest if/when we pay off early which we will...

    EcoBoost vs. Tundra 5.7

I'm with kdbgoat, what is the GVWR of the rig?  Dry weights are totally useless for this or anything else except sales brochures.  Payload is always the limiting factor for 1/2 ton trucks.  Since it appears your existing TV was overloaded, you haven't had much experience with a properly spec'd...

New to RVing, too many choices

A couple of the larger dealers are just outside Cinncinati.  We found ours at holmanrv.com, over 600 units in stock and VERY good pricing/service.  They also deliver worldwide.

    Hello & satellite info

We have a "GenieGo" connected to our router/receiver at home.  It allows us to stream anything from the DVR to wherever we are.  Although you can't watch live TV, I've found that you can set something up to record (like a game) and then start streaming it a minute or two after it starts.  This...
