I have a 2016 6.2 with Max-tow package and get 7-8 MPG towing a 10K 5th and get 23MPG empty at 70MPH. I had a 2015 5.3L Max-tow and the 6.2L gets better milage than the 5.3. Its a great motor but you won't get the mileage your getting with that 3.0 diesel.

I also have just joined and also tow a 29foot Jayco 5th with a Sierra 1/2 ton With Max-tow and 6.2L. I am well under specs but right on the number with cargo cap, it tows it great compared to my old TT.
