Newbie with 21' Class C 1995 Royal Classic

I??m back. We ended up selling the 1995 Royal Classic Class C in 2017 when we moved from Ontario to Georgia. Now we?re back in business and pick up a 2018 Lina teardrop towable next Saturday. I expect to need less advice on antiquated parts this time around. And Georgia enables year-round use...

Do you have a name for your RV?

We sadly had to sell ?Gertie? our class C last year but are back, we?ll pick up a 2018 Luna Saturday. ?MoonPie? is the early favorite over ?Cousin Eddie? and ?Mac and Cheese? for a name. But we have a week - any suggestions! Dave

    LP Detector with On/Off Switch

Thanks Larry! Yes, not a long-term solution. But could pull disconnect on beep and then once ignition is on to move or I am plugged in at campsite, I could engage again.

    LP Detector with On/Off Switch

Thanks John. I came back and reread this one after I clued in this morning. Though I can fix everything in my brick house, I am assume by default I am overmatched in my RV as I am with my car. But the master disconnect is not something buried over my the circuit panel as I assumed when I first...

Wow! I am a bad acronym-dropper! You are exactly right Gary, thanks!  :-[

    LP Detector with On/Off Switch

Thank you all! I purchased this RV Fall 2014. I replaced all detectors over the winter. The LP detector I removed, which has an off switch but solenoid removed (or perhaps never there, I am in Canada), has a manufactured date of 10-31-1994. I replaced the coach battery last summer. So perhaps...

    LP Detector with On/Off Switch

I have a 21' 1994 Royal Classic Class C. Gertie is a fine vehicle...for her age. At this point, this RV is just dandy for operating in a campground or at home, plugged in. But my issue is in transit, the coach battery system may just have too many things wrong with it. So the LP detector beeps...

Thanks guys, you are the best!

What is This Dometic Awning Part Called?

Newbie here - I am wondering what the attached part is called that is at the bottom of the awning arm. Yes, the cracked grey item. I am looking to order a replacement and install myself but do not know what this support/bracket is called. It is on a fairly standard Dometic A&E awning system on a...

    Newbie from Pensacola, FL

Any advice on where to stay with a 21-foot class C with two people and two Labrador Retrievers? If there is a Pensacola gem where pets can stay with us with little hassle, that would be awesome! Thanks, Dave

CO2 and LP detectors and battery draining...

I know I am bumping an old thread here but this was the greatest piece of knowledge for me as a newbie. Even once I had read my 'For Dummies' book and the like, I did not full understand the mechanics of the RV. I had imaginery battery and wiring issues in my head until I realized there is a...

Flush Mount LP Detector with 6" Between Mounting Screws

Gary, thanks, you are the best. Do you still have time to RV with the time spent saving us newbies from ourselves?  ;)

Flush Mount LP Detector with 6" Between Mounting Screws

It appears I may be. I have measured and am 6-3/8" like the Camping World dimensions. The new model is down to 2-3/8" high versus the 2-7/8" installed but that does not effect fastening as the width does. Does the current installation tell us anything about whether there is a wired connection...

Flush Mount LP Detector with 6" Between Mounting Screws

Thanks Gary. I am new here but you have been selfless with your time with the few questions I have had, much appreciated. I may be OK on the 6" opening. After reading your info this morning and doing more Internet learning, Camping World (which sadly we do not have in Canada) had measurement on...

Flush Mount LP Detector with 6" Between Mounting Screws

I am a new RV owner, starting with a 1995 Class C recently that was purchased last fall. I noticed the previous owner had the LP Detector off. Strange but I know why now - it is apparently giving false positives. When I unscrewed and pulled it out of its mounting spot, I noticed the...
