    Furnace has insufficient exhaust ducting

Hah!  Sounds like my house.  I have a towel nailed over the thermostat, lift up towel to view thermostat!  Redneck engineering (I'm allowed to say that, I'm from Georgia :D )

LP Gas system shuts off during trip

Just a thought: perhaps ventilate the coach with fresh air, see if it resets itself.

    Furnace has insufficient exhaust ducting

I wish they had done that, and run a 4" up to the bedroom.  Poor design.  I'd like to replace the 2", but it would require dismantling half the trailer.

    Furnace has insufficient exhaust ducting

Thanks Karl, it was a fun project.  The 2" duct runs 12' from the furnace to the bedroom!  Can you believe that?  I'm sure they could have fit a 3", which would have helped.

    Furnace has insufficient exhaust ducting

Thought I'd pass this along for general info.  Our trailer has an Attwood 20K BTU furnace, pretty typical I'm sure.  But Forest River designed the trailer with two 4" heat ducts, and one 2" duct.  The 2" is worthless, and the Attwood manual says it doesn't count toward the required minimum 24...

    Know anything about this generator?

Thanks, I see that, greatly appreciate you pointing it out. It seemed too good to be true, and it is.

    Know anything about this generator?

It apparently has no warranty, so it would be a gamble (but then I've been known to risk a few hundred at Don Laughlin's Riverside). A big question mark:  how do they generate 600 watts more than the Yamaha, with the same noise level, but with a smaller engine?  40% higher efficiency?  No way. ...

    Know anything about this generator?

Does anyone know anything about this generator: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320062951868 It may fit in the "too good to be true" category, but I thought I'd ask around.  Thanks.

    Torsion axles and camper storage

I've been going in and out a lot working on things, reading the documentation, etc, my tools and pencils keep rolling away :)  But yeah, I guess when I'm done I can just crank the tongue back up.

    Converter OK with no battery?

Yes, hopefully you aren't referring to WFCO (World Friendly Company or something humorous like that--It's Korean or Chinese), which is what my camper has.  It's 3 stage.  According to the docs it senses the battery voltage and puts out 14.4 volts if the battery is below 13.2, 13.6 for...

    Temporary winter storage

    Thanks, good points.

    Converter OK with no battery?

Oh, I see the button now, the text isn't very clear.  I'll use that as my excuse.  Thanks. Donation sent!

    Torsion axles and camper storage

My camper storage area is not level.  I can level the camper by dropping the tongue down.  Obviously this "compresses" the front axle "spring" (AL-KO torsion), and "extends" the rear axle "spring".  Will this damage the torsion axles for extended storage (weeks or--hopefully not--months)?  Thanks.

    Converter OK with no battery?

Off the subject, who pays for this site?  Are donations accepted? Back on the subject, is it OK to run a converter (120V to 12V) without a battery installed (I mean the main camper battery)?  I find no warnings in the converter documentation, but thought I'd ask before I do something stupid...

    Temporary winter storage

Does anyone leave their RV un-winterized but heated with electric?  We plan to use our camper a few times this winter, don't want to winterize.  Our temperatures aren't too bad (a half-dozen nights into the 20s).  I could leave the trailer plugged in and run the furnace on 50 degrees, but...
