No Running lights, no brake lights or signals on 5th wheel!

I checked all the fuses last year after I returned and could not find any that were blown. Since there is no hurry to get this taken care of (no trips planned anytime soon), I'm just taking small steps to determine where the problem may lie. Purchasing a continuity tester was an inexpensive way...

OK, makes sense. Do I test the pins on the tow vehicle the same way?

No Running lights, no brake lights or signals on 5th wheel!

Maybe someone can give me a few pointers on this, but I am currently at a campground (store my 5th wheel here) for the first time this year and am plugged in and set up. I just purchased a continuity tester to see if I had juice at my 7 pin trailer plug. Not sure if I'm doing it right or not...

No Running lights, no brake lights or signals on 5th wheel!

Thanks for all the replies. Yes, it is a 7 pin plug and yes, all the lights on the truck work. At this point, I will test the connections and see if I can't isolate whether the issue is at the truck or at the trailer.

No Running lights, no brake lights or signals on 5th wheel!

Seasons Greetings! Hopefully someone can give me some insight to my issue. I was traveling home from a recent trip to the beach in my 5th wheel, when it began getting dark (was almost home). As I was driving, I noticed that I didn't see any marker lights burning. When I pulled over, I checked...

    Help!! No 12 volt power!

Well, I plugged her in to shore power when I got home, disconnected the battery and ran the heat and lights for about 30 minutes and it ran just fine. I'm wondering if i ran it long enough to determine if I have a wire broken or loose? The last thing I want is to get back out to a campground and...

    Help!! No 12 volt power!

Unfortunately, I do not know. It is crammed behind the copper fridge tubing surrouned by lots of electrical wiring underneath my refridgerator. It is just too difficult to get to. As a matter of fact, it took me over an hour to even find it. We may never know! :-[

    Help!! No 12 volt power!

Well......I took it to Campingworld, where they checked out the inverter/converter (whichever I have)and they told me everything checked out fine. They tested my charger, my battery I just purchased, the fuses, breakers, lights, furnace, the whole 9 yards. Everything that didn't work at the...

    Help!! No 12 volt power!

The battery that was in the RV has been in the RV for 6 years, so I don't think it is an issue of being too small. However, it barely registered power when auto parts store checked it and wasn't holding a charge at all. I bought a new battery and installed it. When the battery was disconnected...

    Help!! No 12 volt power!

Just finished up a week of camping and mid trip, my lights, furnace and slide out power completely shut down. This happened twice, so I shut everything down for a few minutes and plugged back in. Doing this made the system power back up a couple times before it finally went out altogether the...

Advice for VERY dirty aluminum siding!

Hehehe...with the price of this stuff, it might be cheaper to drive to Micigan and get a free gallon!! I finally finished one entire side of my 5ver last night. At the rate I'm moving, I think I am going to wax each side as I complete it, so tonight I will begin the Mr. Myagi wax job. As you...

Advice for VERY dirty aluminum siding!

Well Big D...I am SOLD on this product. It is absolutely incredible and does one heck of a job! My black streaks are so bad, I am using it undiluted, so my only regret is that I didn't order the gallon jug. What took me 4 hours to do with Simple Green, took me about 30 minutes to do with...

Advice for VERY dirty aluminum siding!

Well, I broke down and ordered some Streak-X from RV Tech. Will give a full report after I give it a try. Since I've tried several different things, I will be able to provide some good insight for rememdies for very dirty aluminum sided travel trailers.

Advice for VERY dirty aluminum siding!

Efhole, trust me I don't have any stock in rv tech streak-x, its is expensive 50 bucks for a gallon (concentrate) but you will be so happy with the results. I purchased my TT last April and it had been stored outdoors and had bad black streaks, tried all the home remedies with not very good...
