I imagine your pain is a whole lot worse than mine.  I was irritated over a single phone call.  I can't imagine what it was like for you.

I would agree. When they answer the phone they may be wonderful people but I would think that they could finish helping the people on hold before they go to lunch especially when there is only one person left. I doubt the lack of food for a few minutes would cause any long term health issues...

I tried calling Winnebago for support. Was on hold for 15 minutes. They kept advising that they go to lunch at 1:00 pm and you would have the option of leaving a message. At 12:59 I was next in in line. At 13:02 I was told they are at lunch and call back. Then  hung up on me. Wow customer...

That makes sense. I checked the serpentine belt and pulleys. The belt shows minor some of wear and both idler pulleys accumulated something from the back of the belt so I am replacing the belt, idler and tensioner assembly. Can't hurt. There are no other signs of anything abnormal. The fitting...

That sounds possible. I was going so slow it didn't take much pressure to stop it. I'm not sure why it initially felt like the rotors were badly warped. Maybe that was an early sign of slippage. I will look at the serpentine belt, idlers and belt tensioner today for possible problems.

Kevin - Gary  I agree. I believe it would have warned me. I knew something was wrong about 30 seconds before the noise started so I believe I would have been warned earlier. It may have been a slow leak and once it got very low it started overheating and that may be when I started hearing it...

It only has the tire iron. My fault though. I do have the tools but kept forgetting to put them in the RV. I even have a list of things to do to the RV and putting them in the RV is on the list. I forget to look at the list.  Must be an age problem.  ;D

Yes it is up to me. That's why I carry a gauge and checked the tires before I left. They were fine. I even checked the temperature with a laser thermometer on arrival. I learned to do that from this site. The TPMS may have helped if the tire initially was losing air slowly. Since I didn't have...
