My unit has a switch where the wind sensor can be disabled. Mine is located in forward basement unit. I usually leave mine off since I don?t leave without bringing the awning in.
Since I have a daughter who lives in the Knoxville area I travel I 24/I 75 often. I have found that stretch of highway not as bad as many other stretches of highways. Only real problem is if there is a wreck on I 24 on the stretch with the river on one side and the mountain on the other. There...
From an old veterinarian: Use flea bombs. You must leave the MH for about 2 hours and you must turn off any open flames. Open all cabinets so the spray will get to all areas. Then air out MH for 30 minutes. I place a 4 ounce can in the MH and a 4 ounce can in the basement. This will kill any...
I have owned both. Biggest advantage is the engine brakes and air breaks on the diesel you can drive slower and still get there. Stopping and not hitting something is more important.
We were like the blind pig finding the acorn. Went to Fortress Louisburg for their 400 year anniversary. Even if there is no special occasion it will be a great stop. Great road around Cape Benton. However, I agree on taking the car. Besides the inclines one would need to make several stops...

I was on my was to Tuscaloosa, AL when a tornado hit. I was able to get into a campground but there was no power or water for 2 days. I was glad I had 2/3 tank of water and a full fuel tank. Never wrong to be prepared.
DW and I spent 2 weeks on the Outer Banks 4 years ago. We camped in a 38' motorhome. The National Campground (NC) at Okacoke (sp) is right on the ocean. All the other NC had walkways so one could walk to the ocean. The NG were basically dry camping with dumps and fresh water. Many of the...
While in Vietnam I worked closely with the dinning halls with food and dinning hall inspections. One of our biggest problems was brown out. We could not keep our refrigerator units going because of brown outs. When the voltage got low the overhead fans would start to slow and we would go and...
I had to change my whole blower at $1800.00. I though that it had been changed 3 years ago. However, it had been 5 years. I will be sure to change mine ever 2-3 years now.
Biltmore is nice. Plan on spending at least 1/2 day. We took the ferry from Cedar Creek to Okracoke and then took the free ferry to Hatteras. However, we spent 2 weeks. With only 5 days I might head to Hatteras pretty quick.
Make sure that you always have at least 1/4 tank of water in your black tank before dumping. Since you may still have some hard matter in your tank I would continue to put some water into the black tank after dumping. If you are traveling I wound travel with 1/4 - 1/2 dark tank of water for the...
