    Boneheaded Moves Confession

We've all done it.... Backed over the hose bib up at Silver Lake NM one time. Looked like Old Faithful....shooting about 20' up in the air, and started to quickly puddle in the campground. I went down to the office and confessed my goof and handed the guy behind the counter my insurance card...

Looking for recommendations for 8000lb GVW 5th wheel

Good decision. Some 1500 series (AKA "half-ton") trucks can be configured to tow what you're looking at, but I think you'll be MUCH happier with a 2500. Spare capacity is a beautiful thing. Think about it this way....say you get a little dose of mayhem....a blown tire, a sudden 40 MPH...

    Budget Shocks for 25’ Class-C

Bilstein or KYB are my personal faves, though I'm unsure if they make anything for the Express. If not, Monroe. Agree with IB, stick with their higher end products.

    RV'ers Beware

Most of the places I camp in both the Gila Wilderness and Lincoln National Forest are very remote. There is usually no cell service, and there may not be any law enforcement presence for 40+ miles in any direction. That means that if you chose to camp in these areas, you are responsible for...

Fire Ape = Human AKA "Fire Monkey"....though technically not accurate.

    RV'ers Beware

I distrust people. Fire Apes are guilty until proven innocent as far as I'm concerned. I have a perpetual state of Situational Awareness that some might consider paranoid, but I've done it for so long that it feels natural to me. Grew up in a military and law enforcement family....comes...

    RV'ers Beware

Kudos. Both the wife and I can lay down a 4" grouping consistently @ 30'....Her with FNS 9mm, yours truly with my Beretta 8040F "Mini Cougar". Disturbing our serenity is ill advised.

Affordable 4 Season Towable for <5,000 lbs?

What tow vehicle are we talking about? The guys above are right....you're asking for 3 things. 1. True 4 season capability. 2. Light Weight 3. Affordability. That's a lot to ask. My guess is that you've already researched this online, came up empty, and now you're asking us. We're very...

    Thor Electric RVs article

You'd have loved the lumpy cam Big Blocks we were building in the 70's. ruuhhhRUUUMP, ruuhhhRUUUMP, ruuhhhRUUUMP.....Miserable at idle, but an E-Ticket ride when you dropped the hammer.... We had to run electric vacuum pumps for the brake booster ;)

    Thor Electric RVs article

Only Harley I've ever ridden was a 1200 Sportster that I rented on the Big Island in Hawaii. Spent the first day of the new Millennium cruising back and forth from Kona to Hilo. Was torquey and felt quick off the line, but overall felt slow. I did enjoy the "potato potato potato" idle. :)...

    rear view camera

TPMS. It will monitor both pressures and temps for each tire, and sound an alarm if one falls out of spec. And you can keep your eyes on the road.

    Cordless drills-good, bad, and ugly?

I bought a 20V DeWalt. Absolutely love it. Batteries charge fast and have long life, tons of power, 100% trouble free.
