We stayed at the KOA in Mt Pleasant and hated it. That was a long time ago though. The sites are near a pond. In the summer the misqitos are the size of small birds!
Do you guys have any recommendations or warnings about parks in about a 30 mile radius of http://www.dealsgap.com/ ? I have a 32 foot 5th and would like to find somewhere with at least power and water hook ups.
Thanks
Wade
Sorry for the late reply guys. I have a Kawi ZX14. Yes Harley guys its a ricer... :P ;) Dry weight is less than 600LBs. There are several videos on Youtube but the manufactured ones are way to expensive and although I know how to weld I am not sure I would trust myself. The easier solution...
I have a 5th wheel and pulling a trailer behind it is just not an option I want to consider. I have seen a lot of lifts but most are anywhere from $1500- $3000. I just dont have that budget. There are several DIY videos on Youtube that look good and safe. How are you carrying yours?
Thanks
Wade
I was hoping to buy a wireless camera and use it with my exsisting rearview backup monitor. I only wanted it on when I was pulling the 5th wheel. Any other kit recomendations either wired or wireless?
Thanks
Wade
Hi,
I have a 2011 F250 with a backup camera in the tailgate handle. The monitor is in the rearview mirror and currently comes on only when in reverse. Is there a camera kit that can be installed on the back of my 5th wheel and use my exsisting rearview mirror display?
thanks
Wade
Thanks all! The truck pulls with no problem. I run around 80 mph, (shhhhhh, the wife is asleep. ;) ) down the interstate. This does reduce my mpg quite a bit but even running the speed limit I only average about 8 mpg. I was hoping for some trick to increasing mpg. I am fine if not. I...
I know that most of the stuff is useless but I was wondering if any of you have found something worth it. I pull a 35' 5th with a 2011 F250 6.2 gas engine. I run regular unleaded all the time. I have a cold air intake and a free flowing exhaust. I have thought about adding an octane booster...
Dog Folks, no worries, all good. Thanks for the reply. From what I could tell there were no on site after hours contact. The only time I saw someone that worked for the park was during the day at the guard shack and the occasional truck picking up the garbage. It is really sad because the...
Yep, I have heard that about the water. Hopefully that is all that remains and the under tow is no longer a problem. I hope you have an enjoyable and safe trip!

Not sure you read my post completely before your reply. I stated "The park locks the gates promptly at 9PM and do not open until 8AM. Now in their defense this is stated on the website ." Not catching this was my fault not theirs. I have never stayed at a park that had no way out, no...
My son attended basketball camp at Duke University a couple of weeks ago. He was there from Saturday until Wednesday so we decided to stay at Falls Lake for the weekend. I was sooo disappointed and aggravated with the camp ground.

I had a TT that I parked in the grass. Very, very bad idea. The tires rotted and cracked bad within a year. I would suggest getting some concrete pavers, set them in a line in front of each wheel and then drive up on them. If they sink a little it is no big deal then. Also may want to...
Yep, I'M OUT!!! Well actually I was out last Friday but have not had time to update. The yard dried just enough so that I could get "some" traction. I did put some old 3\4" plywood under the truck wheels to get started but after that I was off and running. Thank you all for the help!
