US adding landing tax for Canadians

Canada should recripocate by GIVING all American citizens 5.50 when they cross into Canada. Would be a great way to increase tourism ergo spending, and be a great "rub in the face" to their charge. I too do not object to the charge as the inherent savings in the USA vs Canada on almost...

How monthly campsites charge for electricity?

Here in Canada I paid 70 cents a pound or just under 3 dollars a gallon. Electricity here at the RV park is .10/kwh, so I have been using a 900watt ceramic electric to supplement the propane. Finding a mobile propane refiller can sometimes be a scheduling issue. Here they come every Wednesday...

China to export Class A Motorhomes to the USA

I tend to agree. When you can buy a toaster/kettle/crockpot/coffee pot etc.  for ten bucks at Walmart people don't even flinch when it quits, just go get another one. Seems we have become accustomed to the disposable mindset. What the influx of cheap Chinese products has done is put most every...

Does anybody lube the slide outer gaskets

I use slide seal cleaner and lubricant. My level floor slider extends fully, then drops down a few inches to floor level, so when retracting it must first go up a few inches against the friction of the seals before it comes in. I also wash the sliders and use Nu Finish on all the surfaces. I...

China to export Class A Motorhomes to the USA

I think China is going throug the same as Japan did in the 60's. Rember when everything imported from Japan was Japan=JUNK. They then went through a major paradigm shift and went to a quality first plan. Even today Japanese products are seen as reliable compared to many others. Whether China...

    Refrigerator Concern

Seems to me there are only two kinds of RV's with Norcolds installed. Those who have had problems, and those that will have problems. From what I've read there are just as many, if not more, problems with the early recall kits. I intend to replace mine with a residential fridge and inverter.

    Motorhome electricity

It can be confusing as to which outlets run on generator only power. I bought a pad of those little O stickies and put a green one on all of the outlets that run gennie only.

    propane tank too old

Here in Canada I had my built in tank refilled by a mobile refilling service. He indicated that built in tanks do not need recertification like externals do. Now that is just one businesses opinion that may differ from others.

    Question on replacement TV

Jensen make an RV line of LCD TV's that are designed for RV's, and are (according to marketing literature) designed to handle temerature, humitity, and vibrations. However, many have had success with standard production TV's so who knows if the Jensen's are worth the extra cost.

Beautiful Butchart Gardens 8 minute Slide Show - Located on Vancouver Island

Great pics and a real good tourist attraction. Whenever anyone comes here to visit, the gardens are one of the first things they want to see. Too bad you didn't make it back for night as the gardens take on an entirely different personality. You will likely enjoy most of your Island tour, except...

Need help with Dell Latitude D630

The USB Bluetooth adapters work very well. If you can get one like this one, as the full length ones are easy to break. This one is a stubby that is difficult to break off. "...

    Water System Hookup...OK?

Here is how I have my shore power hooked up here at the Campground. The campground has high pressure, so a pressure regulator is required. I have a water hose connected directly to the shore water bib. I then put a "valved Y" on the hose as soon as it enters the water distribution bay. On one...

    Dishes

I use Corelle. Great thing is that almost every garage sale you go to has some for sale, so you can add at will.

Is this price to good to be true?

Perhaps they should advertise it in the Nigeria Craigslist and get back at some of those scamers.
