Yes get that 6 speed, even if it's not your favorite it's way better than the 4 speed auto that would come in that truck. Its tough enough but 4 gears wasn't enough options when towing with mine.
Yes,and my MAX temp before I pull over or at least slow down is 240. That's my opinion and everyone will say different but your 2015 truck is smart enough that it will let you know before you get hot enough to hurt anything.
What vehicle is this in? A lower gear ratio would be the best bang for your buck. It won't get rid of the high rpms, it will actually help keep the rpms up but these V10s love to rev, nothing to worry about reving them. But it will pull the hills a lot better.

I absolutey believe they "work" and that there are people happily using them. As a mechanic though, all I see is an addition of multiple failure points with some pretty serious forces being applied and people trying to get around buying a truck instead of their SUV, or getting a big enough truck...
What ever this mod might be, I don't think there's anything you can do to an already properly working air intake that will give you any noticable benifits. Maybe something a dyno could report a difference on, but not he seat of your pants.
It won't make it to the pan it'll be stuck in the valve train. DON'T start the engine! When the engine warms up it'll melt I don't think we need to venture into what molten plastic will do in your oil system. Like mentioned above try a parts grabber, I'd go as far as getting a cheap boroscope...
