I really don't understand it. The RV is a 2016 model. The tank is aluminum. I have drained the tank every time after each trip and it was winterized every winter before the freezing temp started. I guess, it is just a poor quality material and manufacturing.

Well this appears a lot more difficult than what I thought! The one that you have suggested says 16X16X14 on amazon but when I look at the unit on Dometic website, it says it is 12.6X12.6X20?! I have measured my water heater and its dimension (inside the door) is 17.5X14. I am very confused!
