Lay down a layer of 1/4" plywood underlayment with glue and 1" staples or screws DO NOT use particle board, OSB, or any other junk like that, use only PLYWOOD. Forget about the Durham's, that was horrible advice. There are no $8 fixes.

Spend only what you can afford to pay in cash, I.e., don't finance anything.

My rule of thumb is eight. My tow vehicle must have at least eight lug nuts per wheel and at least eight spark plugs under the hood.

This is one reason we don't camp in developed campgrounds. It's not just generators, some jerks think everybody at the campground wants to hear their crappy music and listen to their dogs bark. I could stay home for that.
