does it hurt batteries to be charged from shore power all winter ?

I think I'll try watching the battery water level, and plugging into the shop power every other month and see what results I get.  Thanks for all the replies to my question  :))

does it hurt batteries to be charged from shore power all winter ?

I normally just plug in my coach during our cold Idaho winters, and use a Battery Tender Jr on the starting battery, but someone told me if I keep electrical power to the coach for that long, it may damage the coach batteries. I've done this with all my rv's in the past, so maybe I was doing...

need tow bar for 1996 Ford Ranger

After some research and price comparisons, I decided to just go with the Demco mounts and tow bar. Seems to have some good reviews.  Mainly, I'll just be towing my Ranger out to camping areas throughout the state, and maybe one 1000 mile trip a year.

too easy steering, no road feel

Not sure if I'm reading the shop invoice right, but it has left front=4.9 degrees and right front= 5.1 degrees.  Then they have "cross  caster" -0.2 degrees. Don't have a clue as to what these figures mean  :-\

too easy steering, no road feel

I had Safe-T-Plus installed, and it helped alot, especially in regards to getting pushed around by semis, and also helped with wandering. It has a tendency to pull slightly to the left, but the installer said he gives free adjustments, so hopefully that will be taken care of. All the various...

how to fine tune safe-t-plus steering control ?

Thanks for the links Gary. Your pdf file was quite enlightening. BTW, my front end has coil springs, and I have air bladders in them, set at 50#. I found a video fron Safe-T-Plus that covers fine tuning their product which I will attempt to do, and if it helps, maybe then I'll quit bitching...

how to fine tune safe-t-plus steering control ?

When I was young, I drove truck, and later drove school bus in Alaska for two years, and never experienced the wandering I experince in driving this coach. I like to relax when on the road, and driving this coach gets rather tiring after while. To me, I figure there must be a reasonable fix for...

how to fine tune safe-t-plus steering control ?

I've been fighting a wandering problem ever since I bought my 1995 Itasca Passage 23RC class A, a couple years ago. First thing I did was get an alignment from a commercial truck shop. Then installed new Bilstein shocks and steering damper. Then finally changed the tire pressure to recommended...

have hard brake pedal, lousy brakes

Ever since I bought my 1995 Itasca 23rc two years ago, (P30 chassis), I've figured it must need a brake job. The pedal goes down half way but hardly slows the coach down, but let off and hit it again and I have double the braking which I still feel, I could never bring it to a fast panic stop...

too easy steering, no road feel

Dropping the air pressure to 65# on all tires helped considerably on our trip. It still has some wandering, but I feel it's tolerable. With the lower pressure, I can also feel the road more also which to me is good..

too easy steering, no road feel

Lots of ideas to try. I finally dropped the air pressure for both the front and rear tires to 65#. I'm heading  to the Lewiston, Id area this weekend which is a 700 mile round trip, and I should have a good idea if setting them at that pressure helped somewhat. If not, then onto the next idea to...
