    Goodby 12 volt system

I Want to modernize my destination trailer for full time living, electrically.  I want to remove all 12 volt system.  The trailer is on "City everything", water, electric, sewer, and is permanently set, blocks anchors etc.  10x30 addition has been added that is separate 110 power only...

Fifth wheel insurance for a stationary unit

It's been a while since your post but I'll pass this on anyway.  We were with GMAC as full timers for about 5 years.  When we blocked and anchored our Park Trailer, in Florida,  they dropped us like a "hot potato".  On the advise of a Progressive agent,  we were told to try Foremost for this...

    Not giving up the lifestyle

Hello All,  I haven't been on the forum in a long time.  I was just browsing and saw an older thread about Park Trailers.  A fella was inquiring as to why there wasn't a special section for Park Models, or Park Trailers.  (There is a difference)  Maybe someday it will happen.  I'm certainly for...

    Chevy Equinox as Toad/Dinghy

We dolly a 2008 Equinox with no trouble at all.  It makes a great car for shopping and sight seeing.

    Voyager Back up monitor

Hi all,  we were about halfway from Ft Worth, to Miami, when our back up monitor went dead.  I believe it's an in line fuse, gone bad, but I have no clue on how to get to it.  I've been told that the only way is to take the dash panels apart, but I don't want to create additional problems along...

Norcold Again, and again, and again

Right you were Jim.  It was dealer error.  They had the kit for over a week and tried to call me, but I didn't answer.  Seems they were calling the wrong phone number.  Now I know why those service managers make the big bucks.  Anyway, it's was a good thing I called this morning.  I'll stop in...

Norcold Again, and again, and again

I feel your pain.  I just had the cooling unit replaced in August.  If there's any more trouble after the waranty is up, I wont' put a dime in it.  To replace this model 12111rm, it would be between 3700 and 4000 dollars.  For that kind of cash, I will upgrade, and I mean upgrade, to a...

Norcold Again, and again, and again

Unfortunately, yes, they did.  I'm going to check again tomorrow.  If they can't come up with a kit, I'll use the phone number that came with the notice and see if they can re direct the kit to Florida.  I really can't wait here any longer.

Norcold Again, and again, and again

Okay, heres comes one more  tiring complaint about Norcold.  I received notification of the latest recall this week.  I knew about it in November.  I went to my dealer and had the kit ordered around Thanksgiving.  It's now Janurary 9, and have heard nothing.  Now in this letter, Norcold...

Class A: What to look for / Best candidate for renovation?

I agree with Gary.  Also,  bear in mind that if you find a diesel pusher, you'll be getting more ammenities,  automatically,  that you won't get with a gasser.  Your money will also go farther if you buy from an individual.  Shop the dealers, buy from an individual.  You can shop, shop, shop...

    Looking for furniture

We purchased our recliners at the lazyboy store.  Just about everything they sell has a removable back, so it goes thru the door easily.  Good luck!

Anyone put residential fridge in a Journey??

That makes sense to me 2dalake.  I think that's where we're at,  due to our 1211lrim being in that shallow space on the slide.  If we go with a deeper fridge, it might not let the slide close all the way.  For now, we'll do the recall and keep our eyes and ears open.

Are there any RV parks for those of us under age 55?

Any rv park with a statue of Yogi Bear out front would prefer that you aren't over the age of 12.  If you whine a little, they'll let you in, seeing how you're  the guy carrying the wallet.  Enjoy, you can get to know the art of basket weaving before you make it to retirement age ! ;D

    Kar Kaddy hitch coupler trouble

I have a Kar Kaddy 3 tow dolly with surge brakes. Getting hooked up for a trip, I found that after a year and a half of use, the hitch coupler would not drop onto the hitch ball. I removed the hitch coupler assembly, inspected inside and found everthing was in good shape but the ball clamp would...

Anyone know what happened to the original thread?  It was getting interesting, then all of the sudden I was in a Rubicon.  ???
