I have a 1995 Fleetwood Bounder with a Thetford Aquamagic toilet. The filler won't shut off so I'm sure the valve needs to be replaced. Everything is in the back so I can't see anything. My question is if I lift the toilet so I can turn it is there a gasket I'll need to replace? I can't find...
We have an Onen that doesn't work and parts aren't available so a brand name doesn't mean availability of parts. Sad thing is a Cummins dealer wanted to charge us $800 to repair the carburater that we later found out isn't even available.
UPDATE: Yesterday I checked to make sure the battery hadn't gotten turned off. I rehooked the charger to it and it charged to 12V. The awning now works, I was able to start the motor twice but with some hesitation like it wasn't getting a steady charge to the starter. I checked it this morning...
I got the voltages tester. My house batteries tested out at 6.6V the crank battery at .14V . I also checked the battery I replaced this one for and it read 9.0V.
To do that I'll need to buy a voltage tester. I am also hoping these possible repairs aren't too expensive. Thanks for all the help. The fridge is strictly on propane. It's already unplugged. The house batteries were new in October 2 6 volt 230 AHs.
The year and model is posted just below my pic but maybe only I can see it on my post. I don't see any others. It's a 1995 Fleetwood Bounder. It's a great motorhome but just a few annoying quirks.
On ours however it's connected to the battery that starts the engine. The electric awning was an added feature so whoever installed it must have run it to the start battery
Approximately December the start battery in our motorhome died so I purchased a new one from an RV dealer here in town. Last week I hit the button to put the awning out and nothing. I bought a charger and recharged the battery and it worked. Saturday I went to put out the awning again and...
From Iowa but in south Texas lol. Haven't had the chance to try the suggestions yet. The tank is open because we're stationary for now. The trap looks like it can be removed by hand. Is that right? My only concern is if I'll be able to get to it. Jan is going to see if she can get some draino.
So far we've tried the baking soda and vinegar thing plus a chemical we bought at the RV dealer but no luck. Any other brilliant suggestions so I don't have to pay someone to fix it? Thanks guys.
Thank you Richard. I went out an looked at them today. It looks like the gray and black water tanks are under the bathroom and heated by the bathroom duct and the fresh water is under closet and and heated by the duct going to the bedroom.
We are in our 1995 Fleetwood Bounder for the first winter. It's suppose to get down to 25 the next 2 nights. I have no idea if my tanks get any heat or if I should drain the tanks. If it is heated is there a switch I need to turn on? Thanks for your help.
That was the problem. It was halfway but it didn't seem to go down any further so it wasn't resetting. I had to force it down then it worked. It will be changed out ASAP.
