Water Heater Bypass valve not by-passing

Listen carefully.....I  first put the system in the bypass mode......when I winterize my MH I open ALL faucets...HOT and COLD till the pink stuff comes out......meaning antifreeze is in the lines......THEN I drain the Hot Water Heater..................If you don't like my system keep doin' it...

Water Heater Bypass valve not by-passing

For what it's worth department......I too had this problem and finally figured out that you do the bypass setup and drain the hot water heater LAST, after you have winterized the system......have been doing it this way for years..........apparently the water in the tank prevents the antifreeze...

    Spare Tire

On a dual wheel vehicle the rear tires will fit on the front axle simply by turning the wheel inside out. I have driven large trucks and they only carry one spare which fits both axles. I hope this holds true for the motorhome since it is just a truck chassis.................

    Spare Tire

We have a 2007 Winnebago Journey 36G diesel which is on a Freightliner Chassis.  My question concerns the wheels.....the front has an aluminum wheel with the hub out and the rear has an aluminum wheel  with the hub turned in with a steel wheel on the inside rear....my question is will a steel...

    MCD shades

I've had to repair two of these. They were both wide ones. The one in  the bedroom (2007 Winnie Journey 36G) was fairly easy as I could access it.  The one over the dinette was a little harder. I think the easiest way is to remove the valance first, which requires a fairly long #2 Phillips...

Is there a market for my old tires?

I would like to say that we replaced our tires of the similar size in 2014. I got new tires thru Cosco but they were unable to mount them. The company that did mount them wanted $Big Bucks to dispose of the old tires. I decided to bring them home and I cleaned the tires and they still looked...

Norcold 121 series fridge not working on propane

Have you looked inside the burner area? Rust from the chimney falls down on the burner and will collect inside the burner. If you see a lot of rust particles you need to take it apart and clean everything out. I usually have to do this to mine once a year, if you use  it on propane a lot. Just...

    Monaco Knight Air pressure gage

Is your motorhome a diesel pusher? Does it have a diesel engine in the rear.....I don't know enough about your MH to say, but if you have an air compressor you more than likely have air brakes......can you give more info on your motorhome.................Iron Horse..................

    Monaco Knight Air pressure gage

Me again.....When I worked on the Railroad I had a Huge service truck that I brought home and it had air brakes. At least once a year during winter it would freeze up and I used a torpedo heater to blow hot air under the truck for about 45 minutes and it would thaw out. Be careful and not get...

    Monaco Knight Air pressure gage

I would think that if you are in freezing temperatures the system has frozen up somewhere in the lines. If the air dryer hasn't been serviced that would do it, I think the air dryer desiccant filter is supposed to be changed out around every three years. I wouldn't suspect the compressor yet...

    Basement AC/Heat Pump

I would like to ask a question concerning the basement air conditioner/heat pump unit. We have a 2007 Winnebago Journey 36G with the Coleman/Mach unit and it has performed well since new. Has anyone cleaned or considered cleaning the outside fins on the condensing unit. I don't know if this is...

    maintenance 2007 Winnebago Journey

We have a 2007 Winnebago Journey 36G. I asked my wife to post this for me as I have diesel fuel in my armpits and in my eyes. Well today I changed the oil and filter and air cleaner in our 8000 Onan generator. I have used up all my cuss words known to me. Any additional cuss words would be...

    Air Brake Desiccant air dryer/filter

Thanks guys......I think I'll go ahead and change it since I already have one on hand. Been a little lax on draining the tanks, I have to remember this as one of my must things to do.

    Air Brake Desiccant air dryer/filter

We have a 2007 Winnebago Journey 36G and I'm doing my yearly service. My question is about the desiccant air filter on the brake system. How often are these canisters changed. It is still exhausting normally but has been in there about three years. We only put two to three thousand miles on the...
