    RV furniture

I am wondering if anyone has upgraded their jack-knife sofa to one of those extenda-flex sofas by Flexsteel. I have a '99 Discovery with the traditional jack-knife sofa and jack-knife love seat. Was thinking of replacing the love seat with a recliner and the sofa with an extenda-flex sofa. I...

    Gulf Coast RV Park

Gulf State Park in Gulf Shores Alabama is incredible.  The park is on a Lagoon not on the beach, which is across the street.  Top notch ammenities and the most beautiful white beaches in the country. You won't be disappointed. Check the link: http://www.alapark.com/GulfState/

    FLYING J/PILOT

Thats strange. In Arizona I've never had an issue with Flying J (at least in the RV lane). I get the 3 cents off and no cutoff on the amount I can charge at the pump.

    Service stations and RVs ...

Also Pilot which is owned by Flying J.  Look for the RV lanes. They have propane and bump stations, and also a discount card, I think it is .03 per gallon discount.

    Gas Mileage Help

If I keep my Fleetwood Discovery at 60-62 mph I am typically getting 9.5-10.5 mpg, with toad or without. Still scratch my head wondering how my 4000 pound Jeep Wranger just gets about 4mpg better than a 30,000 pound motorhome.

I've had my 1999 Fleetwood Discovery for about a year now, and have zero complaints. Good luck, and thanks for your service!

Yahoo classic mail & e-mail security

Yahoo used to let you switch back and forth between the current version and classic mail, but I noticed that is no longer available.  You will get used to it, and now I don't remember what was different other than a little layout look. I have used Yahoo mail since at least 2002 and never had a...

    San Carlos, Mexico

Hi all  - I found 3 RV parks online in San Carlos.  We usually go to Rocky Point, so we are spoiled with parking oceanfront  directly on the beach. We are starting to plan our Thanksgiving week trip with a few other RV friends. I see very good reviews about El Mirador but I read that it is 1/4...

    LED versus LCD TV

I am finally thinking of swapping out the 19" tube TV in my 1999 Fleetwood Discovery.  Prices for 32" flat screens in LCD and LED are pretty close, so from a standpoint of motion shock, electricity draw, ability to handle being stored in hot climate (AZ), etc., should I be looking at LCD or...

    Mysterious switch

I think you must be correct Gary.  The microwave / washerdryer "choice" switch is in the galley, and the dual AC units have the load shedding system on the main panel, so I think the electric water heater is the most obvious choice.  Location within reach of the shower makes a lot of sense...

    Mysterious switch

Well I can rule out the water pump switch,  as that one is clearly marked.  It is a regular toggle light switch like in your home,  but is dark brown or black in color. It is indeed a 30A RV coach, and I suspect Gary and gwcowgill might be on to something with the water heater switch...
