You could probably get a bit better mileage pulling a molded fiberglass trailer (Casita, Scamp, Escape, etc.) but you're not going to get a walk around bed in one of those.

Only about an hour away from the valley and pretty much unknown is a small motel/RV park in Coulterville (north/west).  I've never stayed there with the 5th wheel but we did stay at the motel for a home base a couple of times.  Worked out well and away from the crowds and a very nice little...

I drove down the strand last afternoon/evening.  Very nice sunset on the ocean.  I did notice the new pedestals at each site and it does look like they're doing good business.

I'll be living and working in Coronado when I return to Calif. next week.  Spent the past few days in Telluride and Ouray.....in Cortez this evening.....Bryce Canyon by tomorrow night.

You have two great RV parks just down the road in Columbia.  I've stayed at 49er RV Park and Marble Quarry RV Park.  If you're taking the grandkids, you may want to go to Marble Quarry.....it has a pool and is walking distance (maybe four or five blocks) to the historical old town.

If you're going to arrive this weekend and get started, you should be OK for a week.  But like Tom said, any later and most likely you're going to be in the snow. I'm headed to Bryce Canyon, Zion, Grand Canyon, Sedona, Mesa Verde, Ouray, Durango, etc. next week and have already done the ten day...

Yes, we have to be EPA certified to even have a set of guages in our hands.  Having worked with refrigerant for several decades (Freon is just a brand name like Ford or Chevrolet) and now having worked with it this past ten years or so...I can tell you first hand that the education of the damage...

That's great Betty.  If Doug follows the forum here then maybe he'll share his side of the story about why he's flagging these members when they cancel and doing it within the peramiters that he's previously agreed to. To no longer allow a customer simply because they've cancelled once is not...

Incredable lack of integrity on the owners part.  I have to work for a living so I'll not be attending but if I were, it would not be there.  It's the principal not the $ and so for that reason, I'd do what SargeW and others have/are doing and speak with my wallet....by taking it elsewhere.
