I agree redgard is a good option. Just remember that you only want to do this once, so materials are not where you want to go cheap.

Being an RV there are two factors that are most important, weight and vibration. Cement board is too heavy. I would go with a water resistant drywall or styrofoam wall board sold under many trade names. These are very stiff and hard, not like the regular styrofoam that breaks apart. I would...
