    Quit smoking

I started this thread way back when.  I've not touched a cigarette since, however have gained 50Ibs.  I love breathing without lungs full of crap.  All those that have quit, way ta' go!  Keep it up!

Will rising gas/fuel prices impact your travel plans?

Yea... those were the days.  Remember taking off on my Harley back in summer of 80' from Rochester N.Y. headed to Daytona Beach.  Round trip was like $40 or so.... :)

I replaced ours a few years ago, took all of about 25min or so.

    GAS FRIDGE FREEZES EVERYTHING

Ditto on the fan... We've used them for years and they make a dramatic difference.

    GAS FRIDGE FREEZES EVERYTHING

Does your fridge freeze regardless of which mode it's in or just on say propane mode?  If it's the same no matter what mode it's in then it sounds like the thermostat / element needs replacing.

    Harpers Ferry and Valley Forge

I live about 10min from Harpers Ferry.  Neat place, very hard to park during peak season.  The KOA is a very popular place, definitely book early before visit.  The rivers are pretty.  Charles Town WV is right up highway 340, horse track/casino neat visit if you're into that, RV parking there at...

    Cats Traveling inside 5th Wheel

We traveled with Lenard (he passed away last August) for years in the 5th wheel.  It was the only place he was happy!  Started out in the truck years ago, however he would freak out completely, drool, shake, scream, puke, poop, completely miserable.  Tried him in the 5th wheel with his water and...

    solar battery tender

We used to keep our 5th wheel plugged in all winter.  I was tired of worrying about the cord across the driveway with snow.  This solution is going on 3yrs and working perfectly.  When I bought it, someone on the forum commented how I wasted my money on junk... It's turned out to be a great...

    Battery Monitor

Installed the Victron 712 today, went perfectly with the diagram I laid out.  Anyone thinking of one of these will be very happy.  With the 712, no need to run even the control utp wire into the cabin!  I mounted the unit in the battery bay right near the shunt and the blue tooth connects...

    Battery Monitor

Many thanks for reply, it's very much appreciated.  Let me address your points.  Agree with circuit protection, the charge controllers do have inline fuses, as shown in the layout the inverter is fuzed.  I do have 220ah with 2kw inverter, we are mindful of this and this is main reason for...

    Battery Monitor

The only connection from the shunt to the positive is for the single positive control wire that is required to the shunt control, note this is not/not to either terminals of the shunt, but to the control board on the shunt.  This video and the instructions for the Victron is what I've used for...
