    Need a toaster oven

This is interesting.  We have an old one that was selected because it was low enough to fit on a top shelf when not in use. Old, ugly, cheap makes toast just fine. There seems to be $40 toaster ovens, $150, and $300.  Could  somebody explain the difference, I would like to bake biscuits and...

One night stop heading south on I-75 passed Atlanta-Florida border

Exit 5 LAKE PARK CAMPGROUND Exit 3 Flying J I've stayed at both. I've managed a pull through at the Flying J with my 30ft 5th wheel. Eastern Corner of the auto lot.  But I typically stop around 2pm.  This is a popular spot for to/from Florida rv'ers.

Desperately Need Help - Ripping Cd's

Bill is right.  It's the formating.  I just went through all that.  Find one that works and see how it is formated.  Recommend 16GB sticks.  That holds a playlist and you don't have to play with directories.

    Storing MH with Solar System

Solarman, I was less than clear again. I used the PD voltage as a guide to determine what setting to use for my solar controller when the 5er was sitting at home.  The PD converter has the reputation of being kind and gentle to batteries, so I set the the solar storage float voltage to the...

    Storing MH with Solar System

To add to the discussion... My controller has two settings.  I think of them as bulk and float.  For extended dry camping I want to get as many amp hours in as possible.  For storage I don't want to boil the batteries. I have a Progressive Dynamics Converter which uses 13.2 volts for float, so...

    Cats Traveling inside 5th Wheel

The first time we took Max in the 5er he rode the first leg in the truck in his carrier.  Then when we started preparing to move he disappeared.  We later figured out that he his inside the sleeper sofa.  But every time we travel with him, he "votes" by disappearing.

Mounting an Icom in a F350

Hi Jim, It's too darn cold to go take pictures. I installed an IC-706 in my Dodge 3500.  Main unit under the drivers seat and control head on a piece of 2x4 in the ash tray. That sounds pretty crude. I cut the 2x4 to fit and at a slant so the control head faces up towards the driver.  Then I...

    Toilet pedal

Replace it.  You gotta take the old out anyway.  New is inexpensive and new.

    looking for a new radio

I used a car stereo.  Fairly inexpensive from Amazon or Crutchfield. It's a lot smaller than the POS unit it replaced.  I framed the area and put in a small door to cover the void.  That space is now used for storage of CDs and USB drives.

RV Trip Wizard - anybody have any experience with it?

Wow, surprising the negative comments. I'm in my second year and I love it.  But I'm a compulsive planner. Just completed a trip from Alabama to Yellowstone and back.  Planned every stop before we left.  Of course it changed the minute we rolled, but we had good dates to make reservations for...
