You did not say in your post if the trailer was plugged into shore power when opening/closing slides. In my experience the slides work faster if I am plugged into shore power..or have the genset running. If neither of those I start the engine. Seems to give the batterys that extra shot of power.

Might be soot builup. Open the cover and give a close look. Also you might take a bic BBQ lighter out there and have someone turn it on while you are there, trying to light it by hand. Good Luck!

Without pics it is difficult to access your situation. First thou is your black tank EMPTY?? this is important. If so I believe you can remove the 4 bolts and slide out the old valve. Should be enough give for this to happen with out a heat gun. Good Luck!! wash up after your done! ;D

If your budget allows it you should buy another rim the same size. Then the steering tires would be the same. Having one odd size wheel could end up being troublesome. Just my 2 cents...
