    Batteries, charging, and storage

Okay, once again, RTFM2!!!  That's Read The (Ahem) Manual Squared -- old Navy term.  I checked, and our 2014 Navion 24M has a Progressive Dynamics 9245C in it...so, I'll get the Trik L Start and keep 'er on shorepower in the hangar.  We're only stored until March anyway.  I'll check the water in...

Calling all RV'ing ultrarunners or trail runners and/or crossfitters

Well, if you find yourself in Virginia, let me know with an email.  Here where I am there's a pretty high trail to runner ratio (a good thing!), and plenty of technical, singletrack, fireroad, and everything in between.  I'm running MMTR this weekend, in fact!

Calling all RV'ing ultrarunners or trail runners and/or crossfitters

Jim, thanks.  Have wanted to go to your state for years.  2014 might just be the year!  I love running in Virginia, but with the Navion, I'm ready to run anywhere! Al

    Batteries, charging, and storage

Much good information.  It looks like my best option is to get a better converter / charging system (3-4 stage...but, oh, what model...) and a trik l start. Thanks again, Al

Thanks again, Gary.  Finally, I have to ask how does one determine if the parasitic load is "too high"?  I see this all the time from experienced RVers.  My panel doesn't (like most, I imagine) give me any data on this.  Other than putting my meter on the individual load, how is this determined?

    Batteries, charging, and storage

Gary, appreciate the assist.  Will keep existing batteries until depleted.  I assume that's when I can no longer charge them above what....80 percent? Also, if I install a battery charger (such as Battery Tender) on my Navion: 1.  Do I remove the center floor panel to attach it directly to the...

Calling all RV'ing ultrarunners or trail runners and/or crossfitters

Experienced crossfitter and 2-3 years of trail running are now being combined with our new "sport" of RV'ing.  We seek trails whenever we go anywhere, and we figure that in an RV we're in for some serious elevation and views.  Anyone out there with the same passion?  By the way, I'm running MMTR...

    Batteries, charging, and storage

We recently purchased a '14 Navion, and keep it in an unheated airplane hangar at a nearby GA airport.  The hangar has 110V power, and gets full afternoon sun, so it's generally around 20 degrees warmer than ambient outside air.  Okay, sports fans, that's the set up.  Here are my questions for...

    New Navion owners

Greetings from the mid-Atlantic....we just purchased a '14 Navion, and are starting our journey into this previously unfamiliar club of friendly and helpful people who share many diverse interests, but who have one thing in common:  driving (or towing) a home away from home (sometimes it is THE...
