    Trail Air pin box

Instead of shocks you might try the Air ride system by lippert. https://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Suspension/Lippert-Components/LC1565391.html?feed=npn&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI-7qUpvzx2gIVxMDACh35swdzEAQYASABEgI6XvD_BwE Note: I have no association with etrailer or any other trailer component seller.

end of camper sags a little

We are looking at truck campers to downsize from our 5th wheel. If we get one that overhangs like that I thought I would get a hitch extension then weld a cross member under the overhang so the overhang would just sit on the cross member.  Glue a rubber piece on the cross member to protect the...

    North Dakota Winter

PBm2, I don't think I would try it with anything less then an Excel, Nu Wa, or Artic Fox, with the Artic Fox being my Trailer/5th wheel of choice.

    B&W Fifth Wheel Companion Hitch

I have the companion hitch. If you've got rails installed in your truck bed it will fit right on them. I love mine. NO chucking whatever. Of course I don't try to take off like I am in the Indy 500 either.  With the hitch out of the truck it takes maybe 10 minutes to reinstall and that is only...

Advice on Nu-wa Hitchhiker II purchase

Thanks everyone. It looks like we are going to pass on this one. Between the $2000 for repairing the slide, the possibility of needing to replace the roof ($3000-5000?), plus replacing carpet and whatever else crops up we are way over the value of the Trailer.

Advice on Nu-wa Hitchhiker II purchase

Thank you for the quick answer. The model # 28.5RL was on the side of the trailer and on the original invoice that was still in the RV. If I go by that then this is a Hitchhiker II S series which is the lower value 5th wheel.

Advice on Nu-wa Hitchhiker II purchase

The wife and I are looking at purchasing a 4 season fifth wheel. We found a 1998 Nu-Wa Hitchhiker II 28.5  for $5000 as is where is. There are several questions about this trailer. First the model # is 28.5 RL. Nada lists this as an S series with a blue book at 6850-8250. If you look at the...

Question on a 1993 Holiday Rambler Imperial fifth wheel

Would anyone know if these 5th wheel trailers were 4 season? The guy who is selling it doesn't know. When asked he says yes it has a heater and air conditioner. ::)

    My First Diesel Motorhome

Bernie, It is just broken in and maybe not completely yet. Gotta love those diesels

    Boondocking SCARE

Garyb1st, YES, take a course and be sure it is done by a NRA certified instructor. Second don't just go out and buy a gun. Most places that offer the course will have a gun for you to rent for the course. Third, find a gun range or ranges that rent guns. Try different ones until you find the one...

    Disappointed

Some of that (hydraulic system?) I have never heard of. Yes they cost a little more to maintain but a diesel rig properly maintained is going to keep more of its value over time. If you decide to keep it, while the gassers will need an engine change every 150,000 miles or so you are still...

    Disappointed

I for one after driving a rig fell in love with diesels. Once you know how to drive one you can get better mileage (depending on gearing), maintenance is a little more expensive, but the engine can last as long as a million miles. Yup, you read that correctly, A million miles. That is changing...

    Disappointed

Yeah, I wish my wife and I could afford one, though we probably wouldn't buy one that expensive for just the two of us. I am still learning even after two years with this one about likes, and dislikes, options I would like to have etc.... One day though after a respectable learning period I hope...

    Boondocking SCARE

I too  travel with firearms. I am always aware of my surroundings, have had the proper training, and train with them on a regular basis. They do not make me unhappy. I most of the time forget that I am carrying them as the holsters I use are very comfortable. By being aware of my surroundings I...

    overnighting in rest areas

Unfortunately there are a  number of truckers who are rude, crude, and socially unacceptable. They went to a truck driving school and got there mannerisms from watching TV. God willing a few years on the road and with the help of other drivers out there they will learn that the tv concept of...
