    Forum log in drops

I blame AOL for everything, including the fact that all AOL email messages arrive in my mailbox with a time stamps that are several hours earlier than they should be. As a result, they are listed so far down my email list that I sometimes miss them. With respect to the topic at hand, it does...

    Ron Ruward in hospital 6-3-09

I haven't visited the forum in ages (now that we are no longer RVers) and was sorry to read of Ron's hospitalization when I logged on this morning. We hope he has a fast and complete recovery. It sounds as though he's off to a very good start. Best wishes to all! Judy and Stu Madnick

    Happy Hanukkah!!

You're right -- brisket and potato latkes. Delicious! That's what we had for dinner on Friday night. But we enjoyed them at my aunt and uncle's house, so that means they had no calories.  ;D

    Portable Gas Grills

We have a 12" Pyromid grill -- know anyone who wants one? I will probably post it "for sale" on the forum in the very near future. It's a great stove, but we simply don't use it.  :(

Okay, we won't. Of course, that means a lot more questions right here! It's great to see you, Fred. Belated "congrats" to you and Daisy on your special anniversary!

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS

    Now THAT's a great attitude! "To life! To life! L'chai-im! . . . Drink l'chai-im, to life!"

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Why, thank you (I think  :)). Actually, Chanukah is a minor holiday on the Jewish calendar. It has gained prominence because of its proximity to Christmas. It is an eight-day holiday that is celebrated in memory of the victory of the Jewish rebellion against the Greek suppression of Judaism...

    HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Well, the good old USA is my home country -- but I celebrate Chanukah. So Merry Christmas to you . . . but please understand (that's all we ask!) that some of us don't celebrate Christmas. Happy Holidays . . . and best wishes for a healthy, happy 2007 to all!!

    Older Fleetwoods

It seems to have an excellent reputation! Of course, you pay for that.  :( There are a few issues with the Born Free that I have to check on based on conversations on a Born Free forum. I guess the Bigfoot also has a good reputation. That has slideouts -- I suppose we could deal with those if...

    Older Fleetwoods

All true statements.  :) So far the Born Free and Bigfoot fit the bill -- but if there's something less expensive, that would be wonderful! The main issues are that we want a Class C withOUT a large "cabover" extension (So, unfortunately, the Lazy Daze won't work for us) ; a queen bed with...

When is big just too big?

I don't disagree with you. At this point, we have two considerations: One is that we are driving a Toyota Avalon and no longer have a need for two cars. So it would mean buying a motorhome AND a car AND all the towing equipment. The second is that we didn't like towing. I am interested in the...

When is big just too big?

If we were full-timing, there's no question about the necessity for having a toad. But we're not. Most likely (if we do decide to purchase again) we will take two or three long trips per year -- long enough that renting a car wouldn't be a problem. As for "the ability to get help if stranded on...
