    AGM BATTERY FLOAT VOLTAGE

My understanding of sulfation in a lead acid battery occurs in a battery that is less than 100% charged. If 12.7-12.8 volts indicates 100% charge via multistage charger and is maintained at that voltage, why is 13.3-13.6 volts recommended as a maintainance voltage?

    AGM BATTERY FLOAT VOLTAGE

Many thanks for all your responses to my float voltage issue. While checking voltages I came across another confusing situation. When placing my VOM negative to the chassis battery negative terminal and placing the VOM positive to the house battery positive, the VOM reads 12.8 volts! I would...

    AGM BATTERY FLOAT VOLTAGE

Just purchased an EVERSTART AGM Platinum Group 65 battery for the chassis starting battery. The house batteries are two INTERSTATE deep cycle standard flooded batteries. I have a stand alone duel station multistage charger on board when MH is in storage. After absorption stage, the float...

    Schwintec Slideout

Full length driver side slideout on 2015 Winnebago Adventurer operates smoothly without excessive noise. However, the lower rear corner vertical trim piece moves out 3/8" from body wall when slideout retracts and moves back almost flush to body wall when extended out. Only 4-5 inches from...

    Lippert Leveling System Oil Leak

Gary, you have enlightened me, as I assumed the reservoir was pressurized and after thinking about it, there is no way the vinyl plastic reservoir could sustain the hydraulic pressure. I'll take your advice about cleaning the unit and ,if possible, find where the leak is coming from. The...

    Lippert Leveling System Oil Leak

I did a stupid thing when I checked the oil level with the jacks in the down position and added oil to the full mark. When the jacks were retracted oil gushed out from somewhere in the system. Hydraulic line are intact and the system works well but now there in a chronic oil leak. Oil leaks at a...

    Onan 5500 Generator Storage

The idea of "exercising" the genset once a month under moderate load to prevent varnish buildup in the carburetor just rubs me the wrong way. In my opinion, "exercising" just puts more (useless) wear on the generator and the loads such as A/C or water heater, not to mention waste of energy. My...

    Switching Off (Disabling) Solar Panels

Thank you to all the Forum responders. In response to ArdraF question (why would any one want to do that) my reply is that I don't want to over charge and shorten battery life. I checked my house batteries ( 2 Interstate deep cycle)  before we left on our cross country trip and to my horror...

    Switching Off (Disabling) Solar Panels

Would it be advisable to switch off my roof top solar array (400W) when under way or in a full hookup situation when solar energy is not needed? The controller is a Morningstar MPPT 40 amp. Many thanks for any info.

Kwikee vs Lippert Power Step Motor Table

Thank you Forum for all the feedback. In reply to John Canfield's question regarding what went wrong with my power unit: the fan gear developed 5 broken/worn teeth at the end of the gear resulting with the steps not fully retracting. I did order the complete Kwikee motor table and will save the...

Kwikee vs Lippert Power Step Motor Table

The Kwikee and Lippert motor table look exactly alike on an online parts supplier photo. The Kwikee cost $238.00, Lippert cost $435.00. Is there a quality difference or just a price difference? Many thanks for any insite the my question.

    Switching Solar Panels to Off

We will be traveling next 6 weeks and will be over nighting with full hookup (30-50amp) and will not be needing 400 watts from roof mounted solar panels. Will it be OK to switch off the solar panels considering they will be producing watts during daylight? My concern is what happens to the watts...
