Help!! New fulltimer, really distressing electrical problem!

Otherwise it wouldn't make any sense why the batteries would only discharge when the sun started dropping.  When the sun shines, as long as the voltage produced by the panel is greater than that of the battery, charging will take place. However, in the dark, when no voltage is being produced by...

Help!! New fulltimer, really distressing electrical problem!

Sounds to me like your solar panel either doesn't have a blocking diode or the diode is faulty. Some small panels have built in charge controllers, and these fail fairly often. I would cover then disconnect the panel (at the panel, not at the charger or battery), and see if the problem persists.

The thing that woke me up the most in that book was considering how many people are dependant on medications.  I feel fortunate that DW and I are in good health. 73s de K9RVH

    C-B Radios????

Yes, but NOT in the CB band.  As many have stated, operation in the CB band of 26.965MHz to 27.405MHz is limited to 5 watts / 12 watts sideband.  All of the radio bands have power and operating restrictions based on what the operator is licensed for.  For example, in the 10 meter band, 28.000MHz...

Great story and well told, but I read the first edition of the book and could not get past the horrible grammar mistakes.  Hopefully, the editors have fixed those in subsequent editions. I'm speaking of the use of "could of", "would of", "should of" instead of the correct "could have", "would...

    C-B Radios????

There are tons of ways to put more power out of a CB radio, and all of them are illegal.  Also, Channel extenders are illegal because they interfere into parts of the 10 and 12 meter amatuer radio bands. To extend range on a CB, use quality coax and carefully match your antenna with as close to...

WHat to do with a very old RV

There's a FaceBook group called "Vintage Campers For Sale". I'll bet somebody there wants it.  There's a growing bunch of people that are into restoring these, like Tin Can Tourists, Sisters on the fly, Loyal Order of Glampers, Glampers on the Loose.  We put my wife's restored canned ham on...

5th wheel hitch for Dodge 3500 6.5' bed?

Hello, new here. Pardon my ignorance. I have a new to me Dodge 3500 with the shorter 6.5 foot bed, and am trying to figure out which kind of 5th wheel hitch is best for my application.  I plan on getting a trailer in the 34' range.  Do I need to have a sliding style hitch, or what?  Again...
