Hot Water Heater - Check valve stuck

NED, Wouldn't replacing the check valve with a nipple and installing a pex shut-off valve in that line work? There is already a 3 way valve to redirect the cold water line from the water heater to a mixing valve; so adding one more valve ought to achieve a 3 valve winterizing setup.

    Underbelly fabric repair

I?ve not seen a repair kit. At RV service / repair businesses I?ve seen patch material, glued on one side (peel off the paper and stick it in place. I use Gorilla Tape for small holes and after sticking it in place I use the wife?s hair dryer to fuse it in place permanently; you can never remove...

What wind mph is your cut-off for driving?

Crosswinds of 30-35 mph and we hole up. We downloaded the Wind Alert app and use it to view the wind speed and direction in our area. We also track fuel mileage a crosswind or headwind will cause a serious drop. Had the 5th wheel slide sideways on I-90 in South Dakota. It was like slamming on...

    Water regulator questions

I haven't read all the replies to your post but you may wish to purchase a residential self relieving regulator. I once installed a 1" commercial regulator on our home in an attempt to conserve water. Once the water heater kicked in the water pressure sky rocketed and the pressure relief valve...

    Furnace won't light

Make sure that your exterior furnace intake and exhaust vents are clear and unobstructed. We had a piece of debris in the intake that kept the airflow switch from activating. Hope you find the problem.

    5th Wheel PIN BOX Modifications:

Rene, $20.00 and spare parts and the labor of an old man at $0.00  per hour. The Convertor was not cheap and wasn't something I wanted to do in camp, but I did. Give them time. We never had pine squirrels try to take over the under-belly until last year. They are immune to Cab Fresh, moth ball...

    5th Wheel PIN BOX Modifications:

Rene, $20.00 and spare parts, if that. Give them time. We never had pine squirrels try to take over the under-belly until last year. They are immune to Cab Fresh, moth ball, critter ridder, pepper, gorilla tape and spun glass but steel wool in every crack plus lead from a 20 gauge does work.

    5th Wheel PIN BOX Modifications:

PIN BOX Modifications: ? Umbilical cord storage plus 12dcV electrical outlet. Last spring DW tried to stow the power cord into the pin box and managed to short out 12dcV producing a shower of sparks. The convertor failed shortly thereafter. So, we purchased a receptacle and mounted a steel...

    Wood stoves

Our neighbors use a wood burner in their 5th Wheel. Their only complaint was circulation.

Direction of travel recommendations, Glacier National Park & Beartooth Highway

We live in Yellowstone National Park and traveled the Beartooth Highway 212 just a week after it opened and it was great as usual no difference what direction you take. The snow along the road was 10 feet high in places. The snow melt has provided some fantastic waterways especially the...
