    Watch your wake

Tom- your boat is 50,000 lbs? That's a big dog! Our tournament wakeboard boat is 3k, maybe 4500 with gear, ballast and gas. And you have to wonder, do they know that they are burning up the most fuel at that speed?

    Watch your wake

Actually Water Skiers  DON'T want a wake. Tournament ski boats are made to leave the smallest wake possible.  Skiers or boarders behind an I/O, driving around in circles, following the shoreline, power-turning to pick up a fallen rider, varying speed, sitting on the back of the seat looking back...

    Taking up astronomy

Tom, second Marsha's comments.  A few years back I got the Meade EXT- the smaller one before the automatic tracking. Ordered a couple of different eyepieces and was very impressed with what I could see. The first time you see Saturns rings - well, pretty cool. Anyway, suburban light, smog, etc...

    Great Weekend

It was actually on the Illinois river in Ottawa Illinois. I'd say around 100-200 people attended. It was the final of three events during the year. I couldn't believe the number of folks that are switching from tents to RVs as there were lots of "new" used rigs out this past weekend. Even...

    Great Weekend

This past weekend we attended a local wakeboarding event, and it was the first time we pulled the boat with the class C. Everything went really well, the weather was great and fun was had by all. I think may wife may be on to something here, as strange as it may sound, I didn't miss the tent!

    Nice Site

Well, at least you know what it is!  :) So many people don't. I still fish from time to time, mostly with the fly rod. The Delta is an area the has produced a lot of talented riders. I've seen a lot of pictures, but haven't been - yet! Really enjoy it though and wish the sport was around when I...

    Nice Site

Most of the time the camper will be used for weekend outings, and there are plenty of trucks around to help out on the tight ramps. You're right about the Mrs., WE"LL never be in a tent again, me, perhaps, but not US! Really happy with the unit, it seems to be pretty solid.  Admin a couple...

    Nice Site

Picked up a used 97 Jayco, 32'. Great shape and 25k miles on it. We're in Mundelien, Il, just north of Chicago. Been tent camping and backpacking all my life, so this is a new experience. After the heat this summer (and our friends buying a class c for thier boat) my wife and kids were ready to...
