    Roof Vents

Tons of them available on Amazon, the stock openings in RVs are all the same, 14 X 14.

    Camper Siding

They use that tin siding because it is cheap. It dents very easily but on the flipside it is easier to replace than the fibreglass siding. Fibreglass trailers cost more but are worth it in my opinion.

    Interstate GC2, keep or replace?

I carry a small 1000 watt inverter generator that is about the size and weight of a bowling ball in it's bag for $200 on Amazon for those times when I need a charge. Quiet, small, light, cheap and runs for 5 hours on a pint of gas. Won't run my AC or microwave but plug it in to my shore power...

I?m looking for advice on a fifth wheel hitch selection.

B&W also makes the Companion OEM series for factory pucks now. Another great choice.

    Chevy 1500 towing 7,500lbs trailer

I always travel with a full 80 gallon tank of fresh water. I have had campgrounds water supply shut off for broken pipes once and contamination/boil requirements another time and will not be caught without water. It makes no difference in fuel mileage full or empty and if you need to save the...

    tires cupping

If all four are wearing on the inside edge it is likely from the axles being overloaded. The weight bends them so the top of the tire is tilted inboard a little and that makes them ride on the inside edge of the tire. If just one tire was showing that wear it would be much more likely a bent axle.

Battle Born 100 AH teardown video!

My point was made using just 50% of the FLA batteries so no worry about low voltage. At that state of discharge the FLAs have the same or slightly more capacity as the Lithium assuming you can deplete the Lithium 100%. So again, for $800 extra i would have to remove the batteries to store the RV...

    Blocked black tank vent

Next time you drain the black tank turn the water off and have someone hold the flush pedal open on the toilet. That will tell you if the vent was working since it will have all the vent it needs with the open toilet. If the drain is not noticeably faster then your trouble lies in the drain valve.

Battle Born 100 AH teardown video!

Just a couple thoughts, first off, how long will I have to wait for the batteries to warm up if I get my trailer out of storage and it has been sitting for a couple weeks at below freezing temps? With a case as thick as that I imagine it will be awhile before they warm up enough. Second, for...

    Batteries, Batteries, Batteries

Old battery will drag new one down to it's level. Upgrade to two 6 volt Interstates from Costco. Way more battery and just $100 each or so. Batteries plus has cases for 6 volts for about $15 and you just need one jumper, Pos to Neg.

    Need info on skirting makers.

Go to a custom canvas boat top builder. They do this all the time, can make it out of Sunbrella so it lasts and have all the hardware to install snaps on your RV so it goes on and off easily.

    Deionized car washing system

I have a waterblade attached to a pole that I squegee the water off and just towel what is left from awning bars etc. only wash a section at a time so it does not dry. The car/truck wash at Bryce canyon is the  only time a "spot free rinse" has ever actually been spot free.

Post pictures when asking this type of question. No one can tell from words on a page.

Throwing In The Towel - Next Steps

Be careful adding stuff to the truck as every pound you add is a pound less that you can carry. Add  canopy that weighs 300 pounds and you have 300 pounds less capacity for tongue weight. Same with running boards etc.

    Equalizer Hitch after modifications

You really need to do a 3 pass weigh at a CAT scale to dial it in. First pass is just the truck with the hitch and weight bars still installed. You can swing the bars parallel to the bumper if you wish. Second pass is with the trailer but not hooking up the weight bars. You can keep them where...
