    Crossing into Canada with DUI

Update:  We just got home from our weeks trip up north.  I had no problem getting into Canada.  A whole bunch of worry here for nothing.  We had a great time at Niagara Falls and my 2 girls got to experience Canada for the first time.

    Crossing into Canada with DUI

New to the conversation here, but we are headed up to Niagara Falls for a quick day visit in a little over a week from now.  We've never been to Canada, so we thought it would be a way to drive over (without our travel trailer), spend a day, and drive back to our camp and then do some other...

    NC-MT Rushmore-Glacier-Yellowstone-Pikes Peak

You sound like you vacation like my family.  Last summer we did 18 days from louisville, ky to rapid city to yellowstone/tetons down to rocky mtn park then down to pikes peak and home.  We made many more stops than you sound like you are going to do.  You will have to drive a lot, but if you...

    Driving Safely in Higher Elevation

I am really looking forward to our trip.  We are going to see so many things we've never seen before.  I appreciate all your advice on this one.  I guess my question has been answered many times over.  When I reach the top, slow down, gear down to 2nd, stay in the right lane, try to stay off...

    Driving Safely in Higher Elevation

Thanks for the advice.  We plan on checking all systems before we drive west.  So I hear you on the riding the brakes.  Is there a best way to tell that my brakes are getting too hot?  I am assuming that is something I will smell?  Is there a different way to tell?

    Driving Safely in Higher Elevation

So my family and I are taking our camper for our first trip out west from here in KY.  We are headed to Yellowstone/tetons/rocky mtn parks.  I have been reading a lot about driving through mountain passes and such.  The most common advice is to keep it in a low gear as to not burn up your...

Best route from Cheyenne WY to Coulter Bay (Grand Tetons) WY

I'm new here and don't mean to hijack this thread, but we are making the same drive going the opposite direction this summer.  We are leaving the tetons and heading down to rocky mountain park.  I promised my 8 yr old we'd stop at sacajawa's gravesite on the way.  I was planning on going from...

    Louisville KY to Madison WI

We've done that drive over a dozen times.  We live in oldham county and my sister lives in barrage (about 30 min north of madison)  We've never been through chicago going up.  I-65 usually is pretty crowded.  I-74 through Champaign and Bloomington is easy.  39 North is straight, flat and boring...

    Elevation Route Planner

So I am looking for a website or app (free preferably) that I can punch in my projected trip and it shows the elevation changes along that route.  I am having no luck.  Has anyone used a site or app that does this?  We are taking our first big trip west this summer (late june) with our 26' TT. ...

    St. Louis Arch

We went in July last year.  It was a total mess with construction.  I think that kept a lot of people away, because we bought tickets to go up the Arch about 30 minutes before our trip up.  Not sure when the construction was supposed to be finished.  We drove to the waterfront to right by the...

Easiest Route from Hill City - Rushmore to Yellowstone (Fishing Bridge)

We are actually making a similar trip in mid-june.  We are staying at Devil's tower (after leaving rushmore) and making the drive to fishing bridge.  I see I-90 as a good safe drive, but not the best for getting to the East entrance.  Everything I read says not to go hwy 14 with a coach.  What...
