    Run Rooftop A/C While driving?

When it's hot I usually start my generator to run the roof top A/C about an hour from our overnight that way it's nice and cool when we get to the RV park.

    RV and TV

We have a satellite dish that we used for a few years but found that things like trees often interfered with the signal.  We now bring DVD's with us (movies, TV show box sets, etc.) to watch when traveling.  Any TV shows we want to watch we just record at home and play back when we get back. ...

    Wireless rear view camera suggestions

I've had the Voyager wireless system on my Class C for 8 years now and it works great.  I have the camera wired to one of my running lights so all I have to do is turn on the running lights and I have a constant rear view.  I can keep an eye on my toad and I have a better view of the mirror...

    RV 660 screen flutter

My Garmin RV 660 has developed a screen flutter.  My research indicates that the battery is starting to fail.  Garmin does not offer a replacement battery but offers an exchange for $140.  I've had the unit for several years and it gets used in my RV and cars so usage is fairly heavy.  I can get...

    Reducing the load.

I'm a believer in the adage that I would rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it.

How is the coronavirus outbreak affecting your future travel plans?

Reservations made for a 3 1/2 week trip from NC through Monument Valley and Yellowstone beginning in early May.  Right now we are biding our time until early April before deciding.

RV Storage- Weather - Sun - Carport Did you Build One, Show Me Please?

X-Roughneck - Sorry but I had this built in 2013 and don't have records that far back.  I'll keep looking and if I find something I'll post.

    Exercise

Absolutely exercise your RV.  I exercise mine once a month for about 20 miles.  You need to keep the engine lubed, transmission lubed, exhaust system free of moisture, etc.  You also get rid of the tire flat spots.  Would you leave your car sitting for weeks or months on end without driving it.

    Help identifying a leak

I had a leak like you describe and it turned out to be a broken drain valve.  The drain valve nipple that connected the valve to the drain line broke and leaked.  The fix was easy - replace the drain valve.  I now travel with a replacement valve in my tool box.

Where do you go to find a perfect level spot?

It's my understanding that auto-leveling systems set their sensors to the refrigerator.  I use a basic 2 way bubble level set in the frig to level my Class C.  It seems to work well.

Towing vs car rental at destination

I've done both.  I have a older Ford Focus and tow dolly to use when rental is not available for one reason or another.  When we went to SoCal it didn't make sense to tow from one coast (NC) to another for just a few days usage so we rented.  When we went to MA this year we towed because we...

Dont buy this camco trash, rv sewer elbow, its junk!

I've been using this for over 2 years now and have had no problems.  The 2 part systems makes it easy to connect and have your hose in the right location.

    Yellowstone, Arches & Monument Valley

We are starting to plan our road trip for 2020.  Thinking of Yellowstone, Arches and Monument Valley in the April/May months.  Is this doable weather wise?
