Strangest thing happened as I was showing my son how pushing in on the altitude knob changed how it ran - we saw some sparks from a loose ground wire; when tightened up the generator purred!  For once a quick cheap fix!!

I was looking at stereo's and a new TV for my '99 Fleetwood Flair 30H at my local Best Buy and the salesman mentioned that they can install them, along with an inverter if needed. Has anyone used them for something like this? Comments on your experience?

As an update I dropped the pressures to 85 psi cold, and it improved the ride quality quite a bit. Doesn't seem to crash over every little crease in the road, and is much quieter. I'll try 80 psi this weekend, which is what Fleetwood says to use. Next project - new headlights!

I just had new Hankook ah11 245/70  19.5 tires installed on my 30' Fleetwood Flair; the shop inflated them to 110 psi. The Hankook inflation chart says that I can run them as low as 80psi at the max weights of my rig; does anyone run pressures that low? It rides pretty rough at 110; I'd like to...

If you mean that the voltage swings up and down between  122 and 116 you may have to let the generator run a few minutes before you put it under load. My Onan 4K hunts up and down when it's cold, then settles down to a stable rpm after a few minutes, once it warms up.

I'm not a member, but it seems like a good deal. Most of the comments I've read on tires seem to rank Michelins as one of the top choices. Hancooks seem to be pretty highly recommended also, from a value perspective. I want to call a few local places to get prices installed, balanced, etc.

Does anyone have recommendations for a tire shop in the Chicago west suburban area? I'm going to need new tires on my Fleetwood Flair30h when it comes out of winter storage, as it has old Goodyear g159's on it. They are pretty old - possibly original- and I have read about some bad experiences...
