2011 30' Salem Cruise Lite. I was jacking the trailer to change a tire. My ear touched a bolt and it tingled. Got a meter and it has 24 volts on the frame. What is causing that?
Thanks for all the info. I found the issue and its working correctly now. There was a loose connection inside the furnace. I have no idea how it came loose but it had. All that matters is it works now.
The fan on the roof unit comes on to move the heated air throughout the interior but there is no a sound coming from the furnace itself. No clicking like its trying to light its fan does not come on nothing.
I made a trip to the nearest Camping World and purchased a kit that came with a new control board, thermostat and frost sensor. It fixed the cycling off situation. Now I have followed the instructions to set the new Thermostat to also control the furnace. The fan on the air conditioner comes on...
I have a 2015 Salem Cruise Lite with a Dometic roof air conditioner. It functions just fine until the outside temp and the thermostat setting get close together. When that happens the unit starts cycling on and off. Thats the best way I can explain it. It will completely stop fan and all then...
My Camper is not new its a 2011 but new to me. I'm not concerned with any warranty. Last fall with a full tank of water we left a campground headed to an event with no hookups and lost half the tank. We ran out of water just washing hands and dishes in two days. This is the only current...
The water tank in my new camper has a vent that comes right off the top and down the side. As I drive, start/stop or go around corners I'm loosing water out of the tank. Can I put a shutoff valve on the end of the vent line to stop this from happening while travelling? Is there any danger that...
Most Campers today have "Light" in their name. My guess is that this is a way to keep them that way. Less storage the less crap you can pack in one thus less weight! Had a 88 Coachman. Just bought a 2013 Salem Cruise Light. Only a third of the junk would swap! Didn't need all that stuff anyway.
Came home this afternoon and the light was on again so I got out there and did some checking and cleaning. I pulled the thermostat and the eco. I put both is the freezer for a few minutes to cool them off because I have hot water ib the tank. Both ohm through when I took them out. I checked the...
Well thats I was thinking when this issue arose. When I ran it out of hot water and cooled the tank down and it came back on shortly after I figured it was a thermostat issue. I was just waiting on someone to think the same.
Thanks!
It is an Attwood model G6A-6E. When the light is on it will not do anything at the heater when you flip the switch off and back on. It doesn't even click like its trying to fire or light. Let it sit for a while and it will fire right back up.
First of all the water heater works. It will run and heat up water but sometime during the day it will stop and I find the light on on the switch. The water will be hot and you can take a shower. It will not relight though. I left it off all night and the next morning it fired right up. Later...
