    Suggested RV Campgrounds for Waco?

Midway Park is a COE park right on Lake Waco off Loop 340 and Hwy 6. There are some pull-throughs near the hwy and some nice, shaded back-ins further back from the road. It'll probably take you 10-15 minutes to get to the silos in downtown Waco. We only live 90 minutes from Waco and when we...

    Recommendations for Best Class C

We've had a pop up camper, 2 Class C's, a 33' Class A, 25' TT, 30" toyhauler TT, and now we are back to a 31' Class C. Our Class C's have all been Jayco brand. Our current one is a Greyhawk 29KS. A Class C just worked better for how we use an RV. Easier to get in and out of gas stations that...

I-40 travel from Williams, AZ to San Dimas, CA in July

Hi all - I posted a query a while back about staying in Phoenix in July. I was concerned about the heat and the great feedback on this forum justified my concern. We are still planning to drive from College Station, TX to San Dimas, CA in July for our vacation. Can't help the timing due to my...

Camping in Phoenix, AZ, area in July

After reading your comments, discussing the problems we have encountered in the past, plus the question mark about the timing of starting this summer's vacation, we have decided to wait until we can go to Phoenix for spring training to go watch the Dodgers. My hubby has flown to LA for the past...

Camping in Phoenix, AZ, area in July

Does anyone have any information about Scottsdale RV Park, which has been transitioned from a mobile home park to an RV park? I'm intrigued because it looks like there might be some tree shade, it is near a dog park, and looks to be about 20 mins. from Chase Field.

Camping in Phoenix, AZ, area in July

Thanks for the responses. I had been looking at the parks in Buckeye, so now I will take another look. We are driving from Texas to California so that my hubby can get his Dodger Stadium fix watching his Dodgers! Thinking we will try to stay in our preferred park in Phoenix on the way to San...

    Tundra and TT toy hauler

Thanks for the feedback. We are working on weighing the trike and will weigh the truck and trailer loaded once we get the new TT home. On the advice of friends with Tundra and toy hauler, getting air bags installed to help the truck with tongue weight. Will pick up the Vengeance next week.

    Tundra and TT toy hauler

Thanks for reply. Did you drive your Tundra in the tow haul mode using the "S" shifting gear?  We tried the tow haul mode when we first took our Rockwood out, but likely we didn't really understand how to use it. Last year we never used it and the truck seemed to pull the TT just fine. We have...

    Tundra and TT toy hauler

We tow a 2013 29' Rockwood Ultra Lite 2608WS with a 2013 Tundra short bed crew max with a 5.7L. engine. The TT's unloaded wt. is about 5700 lbs. and the tongue wt. is 723 lbs. We use a WD hitch and Reese sway bars. We have enjoyed it but now are looking to trade it in for a 2014 Rockwood...

    Introduction

Hi everyone, or as we say in Aggieland, "Howdy!" Aggies also give the thumbs up sign a lot. My husband and I live in College Station, Texas. He works for Texas A&M University, and I retired from the university about 3 years ago to care for our moms. We lost both dear ladies over the past two...
