    Seeking route guidance

Thank you for your response. I read the park's description of the road around the park and it's the narrow road, no shoulders, steep drop offs and sharp curves that makes us nervous. It will add miles for us to go south and then north on 62 so we shall see what my husband decides. Thanks again!

Interesting, brought them in by helicopter! I did sign up for a boat tour. The climb will be a challenge for us but we drove all the from Florida to see this magnificent site, so we're going to go for it! Thanks for sharing that article. Lynne

    Seeking route guidance

We are planning to visit Crater Lake. We have reservations at Mazama Village and will be coming from Bend, Oregon. It looks like we would take route 97 and can enter the park from the north via 138 but this would require driving on the parks rim road to get to the campground. Or should we...

    Route advice

We want to travel from the Grand Canyon to Page. Can anyone tell us about route 64 from the Grand Canyon to route 89? We are driving 35ft winnebago motorhome and towing a jeep. Truckers Mountain Guide does not report any serious grades, winding or narrow roads. Thanks

Long awaited retirement trip finally here

We enjoy reading your updates.  Wanted to mention we stayed on the St Mary's side when we were there in 2016.  There is a good restaurant there called Johnsons, up a steep road but excellent food and service!  If you do get back over there just check out the reviews!

Long awaited retirement trip finally here

John, just came across your blog here.  You certainly have had some challenges!  We live in Cape Coral too.  We have found Horner's on 41 in Punta Gorda to be very good and fair with most repairs on our rig. A few years ago we found ourselves with an issue in California.  The rear end of our rig...

    Route 108 New Brunswick Canada

I just wanted to clarify my question regarding speed limit was because if the road is not good we will want to take it slow and if there is traffic we don't like holding up others. I appreciate everyone's feedback!

Sandy and Joel, regarding route 108 may I ask was it just one lane each way?  And was there much traffic?  Do you recall speed limits?  Any places to pull over?  Thanks again! Lynne
