    Wall repair

Ok, this isn't a remodeling thread...yet. I noticed some swelling of the wall panel in my 92 fleetwood just below one of the rear side windows on my most recent trip. This weekend, I removed and resealed the window and did what I'll call a temporary repair to the wall. I hope to make a better...

power filter for my old Magnatek

thanks John. I suspect you are right about the regulator.  I think I have some lying around somewhere, or can pull one from something in the parts bin. As fas as why I'm not just upgrading the converter, I dont' use the RV much.  Maybe one or two times a year, so I don't wan't to put much money...

power filter for my old Magnatek

Last year I purchased an ARP controller for my fridge, but due to the unfiltered dc power from the converter for the fridge circuit, it would never work on shore power. The easy fx would be to connect the fridge to one of the filtered circuits, but I decided to have some fun and build a filter...

help with replacement of old style 1141 bulbs with new LED replacement bulbs

Nive write up, Gary. One thing you don't call out, but is represented in the table is that LEDs cosume less energy. I'm thinking of switching all my fixtures to LEDs to get more time from my battery. Also, all my domes show signs of overheating (melting covers).  Either someone put in the wrong...

Computer Techs? Hard Drives send a signal wireless?

That's better than streaming from a phone.  I didn't know a Roku would do that.

    Dometic check light

For those times where it wouldn't start on gas, did it try to fire up? Did you get a spark? I doubt the board is bad. I think it is deciding to not turn on the gas for some reason. Maybe a bad flame sensor.

Battery drain...Can't make it one night

It's on the charger now. I'll find my hydrometer and measure SG later this week. Do I check each cell?

Computer Techs? Hard Drives send a signal wireless?

Unless the OP needs all drives connected at once, I'll stand behind an Android/Roku based solution.  Probably under $100 unless you already have a phone you can use, including ng the one you actually use as a phone.. I think you can get a Room for about $30. Recent verisons of Android include...

Battery drain...Can't make it one night

I have a relatively new (and recently tested) group 29 house battery with a RC rating of 210. I can't make it through the night without the battery going dead. Went out last weekend and boondocked at around 9pm.  This was after a long day of driving and being on shore power the night before, so...

Computer Techs? Hard Drives send a signal wireless?

I can think of a couple of ways to get the result you want. 1)  Old android cellphone that supports USB2Go, + USB2Go Cable + Roku stick (Amazon Fire or Google Chromecast would probably also work) + Roku app.   Hook the hard drive up to the phone and using the appropriate app on the phone...

    repair/replace undercarriage insulation

Here are some pics. It's not as bad as I feared.  It looks like these are pieces of the insulation that covers the transmission. The one photo shows where I think this goes.  That shot is the inside of the cab with the transmission cover (cowl?) removed.  Sorry, I think the photo is upside...

    repair/replace undercarriage insulation

Thanks for the quick reply Gary. Good point about protecting the undercarriage.  I think I'm going to get under there and replace the damaged sections. What I have appears to be dense fiber (will post pics later today).  any idea how it's held in place?
