    which TTs have better roofs?

I think I found one.  Sounds like Evergreen is a step above most.  Anyone have one of the Evergreen trailers?

    which TTs have better roofs?

A friend asked if I would sell him my 5th wheel when we get out new couch.  I told him why he didn't want this POS.  He wants to buy a TT and I told him of all the problems we have had with roofs.  (on the 5th wheel it has metal that wraps around the front but then joins a POS roof that is...

Idaho Falls, ID weather in April?

Thanks!,  Thats about what I thought.  seems to be about the same latitude as Michigan, and I know how our Aprils are.  I think we will just fly out for a couple days and then take the rv south when we get back.

keeping cool while on the road

WoW!  With all the load on the engine, I didn't think the AC (dash) would have any effect.  Sorta like the old "is it cheaper to drive on the Eway with the windows down and AC off, or windows up with AC on.  I think they did that on Mythbusters and found out at a steady 55 it was cheaper windows...

Idaho Falls, ID weather in April?

Looking for tips on how to find land to park/live in 5th wheel

It always makes me wonder if we really do "Own" our land.  I got a $200 ticket because I had a bunch of guys come over and play paintball every weekend.  I had 41ac, and I still think it was total BS.  I ended up applying for (and getting) a "special use" permit for my land so I could have guys...

Looking for tips on how to find land to park/live in 5th wheel

In my opinion, any park with a "10 yr rule" would most likely be too expensive to full time anyway.  If they have a 10yr rule, they may also have a "class A only" rule- which would stop you 5th wheel anyway.  As far as "land", you have to check with the township the land is in.  I have a friend...

Feeling uncomfortable while parking at Walmart in Kansas City!

halfwright... I was stopped recently for turning right on red (after a complete stop), which I believe is legal.  What alarmed me about this stop was that after the police person returned from his car, he asked if I had my firearm on me.  There is NOTHING on my DL that says I have a CCW, so I...

    The debate MH vs TT

Not that anyone would care, but here is my two cents worth.  First, I wouldn't tow anything as heavy as a TT with any of the "Cars" of today.  It was different a while back when you could buy SUVs on truck running gear, but now there are very few left that have a full frame under them- thats...

Question regarding an RV we plan to buy

Just my own procedure... I ALWAYS take a can of starter fluid and real heavy jumper cables.  If you have power to the engine, most of the time you can get an engine running on starter spray.  I would also take a syphon so you can get as much of the old gas out as possible.  I would take a 5 gal...

Feeling uncomfortable while parking at Walmart in Kansas City!

Thats great as long as you don't drive thru CA or NY or CO or IL and a few more I don't know of.  In fact, I was wondering what to do if I wanted to go into CA.  It is my understanding that having them unloaded and locked up is not good enough.  You are not allowed to have a "large capacity"...

keeping cool while on the road

So that would seem to mean that the "Engine driven generator system- automatic A/C power as soon as you start the truck engine" that was on one unit I looked into (used) would be a big advantage, right? Many of the places we want to go to mean driving thru the south west.  About how much fuel...

keeping cool while on the road

We had a 21 ft class C many years ago.  I have a fifth wheel now.  When we did a cross country trip in the old class c, we used to get real hot (the cab AC could not keep us cool.  Of course that was a long time ago.  Just wondering in newer Class As, do you have any problem keeping cool?  I...

    guides to use

Thank you for the information All Stays camp and rv.  And thank you all the other info so far.  As I haven't done this before (all out camping has been "in the wild" with no hookups).  I keep thinking "will they allow pets" "can I get a big RV in there" "will they have 50amp" and so on- and...
