It is a 2001 Coleman Caravan.  I am stumped by the fact that it works fine when hooked to my truck, but not when unhooked.

I did notice that the ground for the battery is a much smaller wire than that of the positive wire.  It appears to be grounded through the breakaway switch (my battery is hitch mounted), that is the only wire from the negative side of the battery.  There is a typical ground cable for the battery...
