    RV Washing and Drying tools

I also use cotton bath towels to dry the coach and up to now have draped them over the washing brush to reach the high sections. The idea to use the swim noodles and Velcro is excellent! Thank you for the idea, I will make the tool right away.  ;D

    2007 Voyage 35A - Any concerns ?

Hello, We  purchased our 2007 Voyage 35L (W24 Chassis) new in Jan of 2009. The price was 35% below MSRP, the dealer was very anxious to sell the rig since it had been sitting on the lot for well over a year. This is our third class A motorhome, the previous being a 1998 Southwind Storm that we...

    manual transmissions

Standard transmissions have their place. Number one, Rv'ing should be fun, not labor intensive, ask any big rig driver. Number two, torque multiplication. The torque converter used in a automatic trans. provides better torque from the engine when starting out from a stop. I am a mechanic for a...

    I have a 1999 Southwind, do I order 1998 Ford parts or 1999?

Hi, the VIN number is usually a safe bet, but not always. The emissions label that is on or near the engine will say "this vehicle comforms to the 1998 year model" for example. As a mechanic myself, I have found this to be the most accurate method for finding the correct part. ;)

Opinion of 2008 Itasca Sunrise 32H

Hi BryTim, I agree with Voyage1. Winnebago builds a very good motorhome. We own a Voyage 35L and compared to our past class A motorhomes, there is a big difference in build quality. We purchased the Voyage new recently and were able to buy 35% below MSRP. This is a great time to buy! Welcome to...

    RV Show Negotiating

Hello, We purchased our second Class A Motorhome at Mfg. RV show in 1998. Please be carefull, some dealers rent a large parking lot, put their own inventory on it, and call it a show. The RV show you want to attend is a Manufacturers RV Show. There will be many different dealers there and most...

    Fix It Service while boondocking

Hi, I have been a full time licensed auto/ truck mechanic in CA for over 30 years. In addition I own a small business (not auto repair related). You need to make a decision, if you have signs and business cards and charge for your services, then all local business laws, tax and insurance rules...

    Question on RV-Storage-$$

Hi, I can tell you what I pay in the SF Bay area of CA. I have a storage spot that is about 17 x 40' that is outdoors with no electrical connection and is gravel. For this I pay $95 a month. In our area with housing prices  starting around $750,000 this is a bargain. Here you can keep a RV on...

New vs Used prices and Fleetwood

We recently traded in our 1998 Fleeetwood Southwind Storm 31W Class A motorhome on a new Winnebago Voyage 35L. About a year after we purchased the Storm (new) I noticed the side wall on the left rear was swelling and bubbling. Long story short, Fleetwood replaced all of the walls at their...

Decals starting to peel on edges.... suggestions?

Hi Ron, You talk about using dry wash, is that called, " The Solution"?  I currently use the Solution and I like it. It seems to do a good job and is easy to use. Does it provide enough protection? Is a paste wax also needed to protect the paint and decals? Thanks for your opinion, Jim

    1995 Rexhall Aerbus

Run and hide from this RV. In our current economy there are much better deals out there. This RV would not even be a nice gift. Good luck on your search, Jim
