Mid 60's by the end of the week in central MN

We are just south of the Twin Cities.  We have a permanent spot, but the Motorhome is winterized.  I was thinking of spending Saturday night there, and just using bottled water.  Would there be any harm in using the toilet and not dumping the tank?  We are likely to get some below freezing...

    Clarion back up camera

Hi, I have the same Clarion camera, and mine has failed too.  None of the replacement cameras I have found have that same 5 pin connection.  Did anyone ever find a proper replacement for it?  My camera is a Clarion CC_100f. -Joel

air pressure for Granning tag axle?

Will changing the tire pressure be enough to make a difference?  I have 80psi in all the tires now.  Being 600 lbs overweight, I would have to shift a lot of weight off the tag before I could begin to go below the maximum pressure in those tires. I thought that the granning axle was supposed to...

air pressure for Granning tag axle?

I know this topic is pretty old, buy I have almost the same motorhome (1994 Kountry Aire).  My tag axle is overweight.  I have removed and rearranged as much as possible and I am still about 600lbs over with a 1/2 full gas tank.  I am wondering if the air pressure in my tag is wrong, but I don't...

    older newmar roof construction

We bought an 1994 Newmar Kountry Aire.  I know the fiberglass roofs on these older Newmars had a edge trim, and a seam that went along the edge on the top of the roof.  Did the older Newmar rubber roofs have the same design? The reason I ask, the previous owner coated our roof with a coating...

    Apollo Brake question

I have found a very good deal on a Brake Buddy, so I put this unit in the "for sale" section. We will be winterizing soon, so I won't get another chance to play with it this year.  Thanks for all the help from everyone. I am asking $300+shipping. -Joe

    Apollo Brake question

I will check out the For Sale section.  What is a fair price for an Apollo?  I am going to keep the break-away switch and remote indicator. -Joe

    Apollo Brake question

We have the remote alert attached to the brake lights. The indicator never went on the entire trip.  We stopped several times to equalize the Apollo.  I have a 12 volt outlet connected directly to the battery, so I know it was getting power. I suppose we never hit the brakes hard enough, and...

    Apollo Brake question

I have a Apollo brake that I bought used.  It works with the test button.  It works if I drive around and set it on the passenger side floor.  However, we have taken several trips with it and it has not fired once in about 600 miles.  We equalize it every time and tried all the sensitivity...

Toad on an older(1988) class A?

I'll crawl under today and see if I can find the ratio. We don't plan on going very far with a toad.  Next year we would like to spend our vacation in some of the state parks here in Minnesota, so we probably won't tow more than 200 miles.  I don't think gas mileage will be an issue- it would...

Toad on an older(1988) class A?

I can'f find any stickers listing the GCWR.  According to the document linked to below, I could figure it out by the rear axle ratio, but I can't find that info either. -Joe

Toad on an older(1988) class A?

We just weighted the RV with all our stuff in it.  Front axle was 4760, rear was 8800-  total  weight 13560.  The sticker inside the RV rates the GVWR as 14850.  Do we get the GCWR by subtracting the two figures?  And does this mean that the Grand Vitara is too heavy to tow?  The hitch has a...

Toad on an older(1988) class A?

Hi, We just bought a 1988 Travelmaster Class A.  It is in terrific shape, as well as the new tires and brake job.  My question is- would it be ok to tow our 1999 Suzuki Grand Vitara with this RV?  It has a Chevy P30 chassis with a 454 engine. We thought we would pick up the pieces bit by bit...

    New Minnesota member

Hi everyone, We just bought a 1988 Travelmaster 32' class A.  The RV is in terrific shape- the only things we needed to do was new tires and a brake job. We plan to use it for short trips to some of the state parks in the area.  Otherwise, it will sit on the in-laws land which is lake front...
